Good debate but the for side was really stopping discussion and his « we are talking about the now » is definitely not accurate. Advances are made for the present AND the future
This is a very profound and sad story as told from a student nurse who has experienced the loss of their beloved sister to suicide. According to recent statistics from the Government of Canada suicide is the second leading cause of death among youth and young adults (ages of 15 - 34). In my opinion we need a National Strategy for Suicide Prevention in Canada so that every health professional who is faced with caring for someone who is hopeless can be trained in best suicide prevention strategies that are known to assist in saving lives (e.g., implementing a comprehensive Safety Plan and urgent follow-up Care).
A boys scout with a first aid badge, would have known moving old people in hospital into dare homes was not a good idea..... Not to mention taking their temperature first🤕😷.... Mind blowing!
Weird that they show the nurse can do swollowing assessment... I was told in my area that it would either be a doctor, speech therapist or dietitian that can do that.
I TAKE A COURSE IN GERONTOLOGY AND I'M ALSO A CAREGIVER FOR MY ELDERLY MOTHER. I GIVE UP A LOT OF OBLIGATIONS SO THAT MY MOTHER DOESN'T GET LONELY AT THIS MOMENT, I SPEND MOST OF THE TIME TALKING, WE VERY LIKE ATTENDING MASS
NIce. Many thanks for putting this out; it means a lot :-). I know I speak for all my fellow patient partners; that we're glad to be able to give back in a small way what we have received from our kind and dedicated health care providers!

I am a computer scientist, I have a diabetic son, my dedicated life to improve his due conditions, I want to get in touch with Tim, I am from Brazil and I would like to help with my knowledge this team and give my son a great treatment for the whole world community
Hello Wilton, I have not been very active in the community for the last few years due to other personal priorities, I suggest looking for a nightscout group in Brazil, check Facebook - you will find many helpful people that are local to you to help you take that first step. Your son has a bright future, Diabetes will not hold him back!
Spectacular presentation. Dr. Lajolo’s perspective on disaster situations all around the world underscores the importance of resilience (not only systemic, but everyday resilience as she introduces the concept to us) is insightful and inspiring. I feel privileged to having the opportunity to watch it.
Sincere thanks to Dr. Harries for all the great work he has done and the compassion shown to our clients here at Pathways Addictions Resource Centre in Penticton. Our thanks too for the presentation you gave to our staff - it has been of great benefit to so many and glad to see you are getting the word out via this forum to many other physicians.
I am saving my funds to buy alinker. Bike for me as I have MS and feed up being treat like as brain dead idiot in wheelchair when alinker will get me free
I feel for those institutionalized. They really don't have the option of exercise (I don't think so anyway, could be wrong), so being in there just makes their problem worse.
