My name is Sydnie and I live out of my car full time now! I am new to this and do not know what I am doing so follow along for the adventures and experiences I will have on this journey.
i really loved road-life in South Dakota, Kansas and Missouri.. once van is complete i will again be in that area.. so many areas i missed in Montana n Wyoming.. great channel n content.. new sub - check
I was hoping you had planned to visit the Shawnee National Forest here in Southern Illinois. There are so many cool things to see here and no bears (well aside from one traveling through here and there). If you ever want to visit here, I'd be more than happy to give you tips where to go! :) That Mill is a fun place to visit and I'm SOOOO jealous you saw the horses! I've been there many times. I've never got to see them yet. Great video!
Fun journey, actually where you were staying was a good spot. Next to the Fire tower. losing sleep will happen from time to time it is a natural thing that happens in the woods. Sounds snapping in the woods , Wind, animals, people that make noise late at night. etc. Good Luck on your trip.
That's funny. You reminded me of how I wear sunglasses over my regular prescription glasses when I don't have prescription sunglasses 😂 Whatever it takes yup!👍🏽😁
Not bike week, it is bike day if weather is good in Missouri. I'm glad you are heading east. It is good when people travel around and not stay in the same area of the country. As for Spam, I grew up eating it with my grandmother on dad's side. My siblings and I had it so often that it is hard for me to look at a can in the store. I'm glad you enjoyed your can of Spam. I wonder what is in Tennessee since my only experience there is driving through it to head down to Louisiana.
Hello Sydnie, did you know (probably already knew) the Alley Mill is featured on the 2017 quarter (.25) Honoring the Ozark river ways? I had to know more about it. Nice video.
I’m surprised she didn’t share any historical info about Alley Springs. It’s very interesting and such a beautiful area. There are other magnificent springs in the same vicinity.
Bears have been known to rip off car doors to get at food. You made the right choices - it is best practice to cook away from where you sleep. Food should also be stored away from where you sleep but when that is not practical (your situation), keep the food in tightly sealed containers in places that are not easily accessible to a bear.
Glad you were able to post this video and you're marked safe from the bears. Another good one. Thanks for sharing. By the way, the SPAM museum is in southern Minnesota. You were close.
Spamtember is the right month for spam 🤪 . Actually I like Spam sandwiches 🥪. Ive never actually seen a "wild horse" definitely would be neat to see. Yeah not staying deep in the woods during a possible hurricane sounds like a logical plan, glad the video got posted so we know you're alive lol. Oops ground Spam , that down to earth food . Hope Nashville is great and you have an awesome week.
Haven't seen a bear yet camping I've seen plenty of deer, rattle snakes, tarantulas, wild boar, and sneaky racoons in the tearing into garbage bags. mmm SPAM is like no other give me some, lol . Thanks for Sharing, very cool camping spot.
I think your apprehension about being blocked by fallen limbs is valid. You might want to buy a chainsaw, maybe a good used one cuz they can get expensive. Then you’d have to carry fuel for it too, which you’d need to store outside of the vehicle. Which means you would need something like one of those storage containers that attach to the top of your car. Cha-Ching! I’m impressed with your intellect and the fact that you consistently make good, logical decisions. I do not believe you overreacted when moving camp sites because there were actual warnings of bears in the area, and you would never have been able to get mentally comfortable enough to rest there. So, better to move. Hope you have better nights of rest in the future. Watch out for the storms coming in from the hurricane!
10:15 Don't be scared of bears, be scared of crazy humans that want to do a female that's alone harm....... Google stories of "Females attacked alone camping."
You are literally driving couple minutes past me on 40!! Remember the place you camped in Tn next to the small stream on your way out west? I have also been there haha
This is probably one of your funniest videos😂 you need a van, girl……. I don’t know how many times I’ve been in some sketchy spot. I just close my door and cook inside my van.👍😎 But it sure makes for a funny video, though you can tell how hungry you were 😂 If you had a puppy dog, that would help too make you feel better 👍😎
It's ok that you freaked yourself out. You didn't have to get scared because I don't think Bears like Green Eggs and Spam says Sam I am. They like Honey... Honey. 🐻 Have fun in Nashville and a safe trip East. The wild horses were cool to see. Nice drone footage of them.
