This channel is called "The Makeup Chair" for a reason. See when I have people sitting in my makeup chair it's not just to get makeup applied. There's so much more to it than that! We talk about products we love, trends we love or hate, makeup hacks we've tried, we talk about life, work, heartbreak, love, our insecurities and basically every thing in-between. So on the channel I cover everything from makeup lessons, tutorials, product reviews but also life, love and also shout out to my #spoonies because I have EDS and I sometimes share how that effects my life.

Thank you so much for taking time and explaining. As a follower have been in that situation and felt that feeling of despair of not knowing how to use. But after your explanation everything makes more sense now. Thank you for sharing your techniques and there are very few influensters like you who share your methods and help your followers make customized decisions in their existing current choices. Just subscribed to your channel yesterday and I cannot get enough! You’re incredible and beautiful. I too am an Irish girl although I’ve never been there. Family trip next year is the plan though!! And I also suffer from chronic illness, so you’re like my sister from another mister! Lol. I just recently bought the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin, which is shimmery. Why should we not prime our eye with shimmer?? Thank you for all your help and for sharing your knowledge! Lately I have been using the NYX glitter primer and then a little translucent or light pink setting powder on top of that. It does help to diminish the creasing of my eyeshadow. But since I also use the Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 shade Sin often, and usually up under my brow bone, I thought that the UD Primer Potion in Sun would help me eliminate a step. But I have only tried it once and don’t really remember how well it worked. So interested to hear your thoughts on why we shouldn’t use shimmer shades as our primer. I cannot live without shimmer, even though I’m almost 44! I never wear matte lipstick either. Always shimmer!! And that’s been my way for all the years I’ve been wearing makeup!! ✌🏼❤️
Hello my sister hehe 👯♀️ I don’t mind shimmer on the lid but when applied all over the eye area ; the shimmer might not be as flattering on some eye shapes, for instance mature hooded creased lids, I like to keep the area above the lid - matte, some shimmer primer can effect that, but that’s more just an option for a general ‘rule’ but of course some people can wear shimmer all over with no issue ❤️
@@TheMakeupChair we are planning for August 2025. And we are thinking Southern Ireland, Cork County perhaps. Our last name is Buckley, and they seem to be all over in that area! My entire life, my dad has been the only Buckley alive from his family. So, as he is about to turn 70 next month (although you wouldn’t know it!) Pretty much, I’ll do a video on it to explain for safety start with a thin band and glue that’s for underneath placement, did you see my video on glue and tweezers, if not I can send you the info on the glue to use ❤️ I love it it’s so easy!
I have a question: is it normal to always feel like you have lashes on? Do you just get used to the feeling or is it a sign that they are on wrong? Another issue I have and maybe others have is that my eyes are sometimes a little swollen which makes it difficult to put the lashes in between the extra puffy skin and the lash line. It's a hormone issue that gives you edema in different places. Shout out to you babes, shout out to all my strong women with chronic illnesses ❤
Yes, if you don’t wear them often you feel them more, it’s like wearing high heels when you aren’t used to heels you feel like you don’t know how to walk hehe but it’s only a sign that it’s wrong IF they feel sharp or hurt or feel uncomfortable but yes you will feel them but over time you get used to it. I’ll gonna get to your next question in a second I wanna look up some info for you two seconds I’ll be back ❤️
Okay I’m back, I’d be very reluctant to advice wearing lashes with swelling going on however as someone with an illness myself, I get that if we stopped ourselves from doing stuff when things like this happen, we’d never have any fun and let’s say the swelling is completely unrelated to any product or irritation and it is just hormone and also let me say this in hypothetical terms so I don’t get in trouble…so hypothetically if I struggled to get lashes on because my eye lid was puffy, I would possible, consider changing the style and application of my lashes. I’d maybe switch to very light weight lash that can be apply underneath and attached to my own lashes, so no glue comes in contact with my skin at all. For instance the Kiss Falscara bond and seal, it’s a mascara ‘glue’ you brush on your lashes and press fake eye lashes to it, that way you avoid any contact with the skin…that what I would be…hypothetically 😉 I’d also keep everything as clean as possible, just to be sure, and test the glue on a good day to be sure it won’t cause any further issues, maybe talk to your doctor about it. Though my doctor has told me I should stop wearing lashes on my right eye because it’s gotten so sensitive but hey it’s my job! 🙈

Thanks for making a video while sick! It's not a good idea to talk while you're sick because it hurts your vocal chords so get well first. I have round brown eyes, what I've noticed is that my eyes look darker if I apply dense long lashes underneath the lashline. If applied traditionally, they don't darken my eyes. I use kiss-gala. Either that or kiss rebel-downtown girl. I think short and straight ones are useless.
I know, I was hoping it would be better but I had to do it, luckily I did it all in one take and had honey and lemon before and after 🙌 gotta pay the bills and my chronic illness bills are high 🙈 so I can’t let a common flu virus stop me hehe but thank you for support ❤️ Ohh I’m so glad you brought that up, yes 100% some people don’t suit underneath lashes, it drags the eyes down! I’m also not a fan of straight lashes, I love a good curl!

Don't get lash extensions- you never know when you may develop a glue allergy, especially if you have any autoimmune issues. I used to be fine, but then one day only my right eye started disliking the glue. Also, no matter what they say, your real lashes will become damaged. Feel better!
I had them once about 9 years ago and I just didn’t like, but that’s a good point! Cause I can become allergic to things so easily with my EDS even my own dogs if I’m away too long, takes me a few days to get over it 🙈 funnily enough my right eye is always the one that acts up too! 🙈 I hear ya on the damage, people say that about fake nails but I’m like - my nails are rubbish to begin with, if anything the fake nails support my weak nails, but if someone has good nails and good lashes I’m like Ohh 😮 maybe don’t 🙈 Thanks doll! Ohh quick question, do you wear lashes at all now? Or is it something you completely avoid?

Feel better! I can empathize. On top of cancer treatments and my neuromuscular disease, I had Covid 3 1/2 weeks ago that went to a respiratory infection (and both my cancers have metastasized to my lungs) and I’m still not better. And we are moving 40 miles away Wednesday so I’m struggling to pack.

@TheMakeupChair you are one strong woman! 😊 I think the brand was glamnetic but they were also very big lashes, especially since I'm not used to wearing them and my eyes are sensitive to begin with. So I may just not be able to wear lashes 😕
I love this idea of uncovering your one shadow. I’ve been keeping my makeup simple. Which one shadow do you recommend? I only wear blush by Elf- Bora Bora, eye liner by Clinique-Royal Couple and Fenty lip balm- Pinch Me
It seems almost impossible to find cool toned makeup these days!! Everything seems geared toward women with warm tones!! I can't wear those tones because they make me look like i am sick not lively like cool colors!! Does anyone else feel this frustration?? If anyone knows other brands that cater to us cool tones please let me know!!! Thanks in advance!
I have recently purchased 3 different Sigma eyeshadow palettes. I have not used them yet… as I have been trying to learn some different eyeshadow looks. And I have several drugstore palettes to practice with! For 20+ years I have worn the same exact look and shades on my eyes! Boring! But beautiful! It was a combination of the shade Sin from Urban Decay’s Naked 1 palette, Buzz from the Naked 3 palette, and Mac’s Pink Freeze. 2 out of 3 of these shades have been discontinued. And I have spent oodles of time & money searching for and purchasing these discontinued shades! It’s crazy! I currently have 5 of the Naked 3 palettes because the shade Buzz is empty but the other 11 pans are full! 🤦🏻♀️ It’s time to move on I think… lol. 😂
