I would like to start up a community garden, there is a vacant land right next door from my job ,and I did ask who owns it and someone said some older gentlemen, I hope to find him one day ,😂

Message to all. I see lots of people talking about community gardens for general hospitals to help with mental health. But what about having some community gardens for mental health hospitals. Mental health facilities patients could greatly benefit from having a garden at their facilities as well. And it would give them more fun and healthy extracurricular activities instead of just blank colorless walls, tv, music and books. If we are talking about creating community gardens to benefit mental health, then Mental health institutes should definitely be included in the quest for health and healing. They should not be abandoned. Plants for everyone, everywhere!!

Inadequately staffed? More like poorly managed. I’ve tried to get the City Manager for forestry to respond and when he eventually did there was zero follow up for months on end. It took me to flag down a planting crew to get any action. If we truly have a “climate crisis” then we can’t afford to wait three years between cutting down trees and then replacing them. Total fail on the city’s part.

Is the ice age considered climate change? The planet has it's cycles and always will. It's huberous to think that we can change that. That doesn't mean I don't think we need to clean up our planet because I absolutely do. Just following the science. No worries though, we'll take it up the _______ and pay the triple tax. We're Canadian, we always do.

Thank you for your video, awesome photos. Crazy about Warblers. Everyone on your list of Boreal Residents, I've rescued. This morning I saw a healthy Black and White crawling up a tree trunk, I had not know they did that then I listened to your talk which notes they do. A Friend & I rescue songbirds that hit the glass skyscrapers in Newark NJ, Most that hit the skyscrapers perish on impact, or when fall to the cement pavement. TRT made a video named 'Window Strikes in the Business District' of us picking up injured Warblers. The Raptor Trust(TRT) nurses them back to health. the bird tips were great, as I mostly let TRT ID. The orange legs of Black Poll. BTW , I know different in other areas, but in Newark the big problem is the solid Glass Skyscrapers, with or without light does not seem to matter they still hit the glass regardless, maybe because Newark is a dim not well light city to begin with ..... I do know just a few miles away in NYC lights are a issue, in Newark every year more glass skyscrapers erected. I just found out about 'lime sticks' that are used in other countries to harm warblers during migration, hope never comes to Americas. I've read the birds hit low, many of the survivors do, but I've seen many hit up high 7th - 10th floor, and hit hard and do not survive.

Wow! The information in this video is both accurate and well presented. I can say it's accurate because I've studied & worked in organic agriculture, and my undergrad is in Environmental Studies. Though 'Certified Organic' does not mean pesticide-free, it does tend to have a much lower carbon-footprint than 'conventional' farming based on allowable inputs. Home or community gardening has an even lower footprint, while adding health benefits, and access to hundreds of delicious heirloom fruits and veggies diversifying our diets. Thanks for producing this excellent content!!!

*Extinction = 4% of mammals are wild + 4% of energy is renewable* Fossil fuels have been 80% of global energy for over 25 years. Electricity is 20% of global energy. Renewable electricity is 4% of global energy. Solar & wind electricity is 2% of global energy. North Euro solar panels work 11% of the time. North Euro onshore wind turbines work 22% of the time. North Euro offshore turbines work 30% of the time. The F-35 fighter jet works 11% of the time. By 2040 15% of global energy will be renewable. By 2050 30% of global energy will be renewable. Water stress will threaten 50% of thermal power capacity. By 2025 66% of us will live in water stressed areas. Most solar solar panels will become un-recyclable garbage generating 6 million tons of waste per year by 2050. In the last 10 years the US cut emissions more by switching from coal to gas than Europe did by investing in renewable energy. Europe gets 50% of its renewable energy burning stuff. Europe burns 80% of the world’s wood pellets for renewable electricity Europe burns 80% of its recycled plastic & paper for electricity Europe burns 50% of its palm oil shipments in cars & trucks Out of earth's 1.2 billion vehicles only 6 million are electric Electric cars will have no positive effect on climate whatsoever Total greenhouse gases went up 45% in 30 years. I like that Mr. Woodruff provided explanations as opposed to making it sound like he has all of the solutions. More honesty is what we need in government.
