Along the way, they encountered Foundation personnel who had chosen to side with the insurgency, disgusted by the cruelty they had witnessed in the name of containment. As they approached the heart of the facility, they were met with fierce resistance. The Foundation's elite guards, augmented with experimental weaponry, fought with desperation to prevent the insurgents from reaching their destination.
