One random thing I really love about them being together is how Katniss states "We are NOT star-crossed lovers!" Reason being is that star-crossed implies they were never meant to be in that lifetime. So in this case, she claimed it with all her heart, and was absolutely right ❤ tragic beginnings don't always have to end that way. It also is possible to make it through alive, but it is still so long as both parties are willing to fight for it.
Honestly people never think she cared about him in the first games but oh I have disagree, she was so scared when she thought he had eaten the berries and later she was gonna die with him. She wasn’t just doing it to survive.
Thank you for this edit and recognizing their story. Pildo's death was like a savage kick in the stomach. I hope to see a season 2 which shows better why this tragedy was necessary for the arc of Jiwoo's story.
Never happens. Just love yourself and live your life with a companion without much expectation. Let him live his life and live your own life without becoming burden to each-other and live happily ever after.
1:53 This this right here was the biggest WTF moment in their entire relationship it just happens and Pam is nonchalant about it and its never addressed again. LIKE NO HELLO?! Yes Pam was a little drunk but girl her ass was engaged this is not something anyone just randomly does for shits and giggles. Worst part is they pretty much retconned this scene cos the scene where they kiss before Jim moves to the other office is treated like their first official kiss. Either way glad Jim and Pam worked out despite the writers dastardly original plan to break them up but damn this scene never being properly addressed really annoyed me.
Katniss unfortunately was blinded by her fear and hatred of the world. In the first book you realise that she just can't understand that you can be kind to her, and that not being an act of manipulation. She can't cope with Peeta's kindness and good heart and she is scared of it. Gale is lot more like her, she understands him even tho she thinks he's too excessive and guided by anger. Until they are sent back to the Games, she's definitely choosing Gale and rejecting Peeta, she feels sorry for him and it is even worse for him. But then more she gets to know him the more she is attracted to him and Gale suddenly starts to show his real face. She's lost because she was in love with Gale and didn't understand her feelings towards Peeta. Haymitch was right in a way, when he told her she could live 100 lifetimes and never deserve him, because she belongs to the race of "survivors", her first thought is always saving herself, then her loved ones and Peeta didn't belong that group. When she tries to save him with Haymitch, she acts out of guilt, not love and because she feels like she owes him somehow. Whereas Peeta, always put her first, no matter what. Since Day 1. She realises how much he means to her when she's taken by the district 13 and thinks he is dead, but once he's back and not himself she goes back into protection mode and turns toward Gale, who's very happy to welcome her. She behaves horribly with him, acts very selfishly and is focused on herself and not what he's been through. Also because she's ashamed and feels guilt because she knows all the pain he faced and bad moments he lived where somehow caused by her and he was just collateral damage. She only comes back to him when she realises that no matter all that he's fighting because his lover for her is stronger than anything and realises that Gale is a terrible and selfish person. The level of patience Peeta had, unconditional love for her was definitely not deserved.
When’s she’s watching peeta on the screen when he got kidnapped I think that was one of the moments she really realized she loved him you can see it on her face and everything.
