Not the only recording. I've got [at least] three House Band CDs that I easily found on the shelf. There might be a few others scattered around (Stonetown, where are you?). Here is some discographic info: *"Groundworks", (1992) Green Linnet GLCD 1132 "Groundworks" is a compilation of tracks from the House Band's first two albums - the House Band" and "Pacific" - previously available on Topic Records in Britiain. The bands original line-up was Ged Foley, Chris Parkinson, Iain McLeod, and Jimmy Young. They were together for just over a year and recorded "The House Band" in 1985. In 1986, Jimmy and Iain left the band and John Skelton and Brian Brooks joined Ged and Chris. After touring extensively, this line-up "Pacific" in 1987. Brian left the band in early 1988 and the critically acclaimed line-up of Ged Foley, Chris Parkinson, and John Skelton came into being. Since then they have recorded two albums: "Word of Mouth" (1988) and "Stonetown" (1991) "Stonetown" won the British Music Retailers Association's Award of Excellence for the best folk album of 1992. "Groundwork" offers a chance to hear some of the of the tracks which formed the basis of the House Band's unique musical style. *"Another Setting", (1994) Green Linnet GLCD 1143 *"Rockall", (1996) Green Linnet GLCD 1174

I don't know what's still in print, but the House Band made many more albums than just this one.

Thank you for sharing this song! It brings back great memories. I was so lucky to see them live in a pub in the Swansea area in 1992/1993. Loved that music and they were very nice and friendly, too. I bought the album the same evening, but the CD is now unfortunately damaged.

I got to see them three times...First time I hosted the original lineup in Columbia, SC right after they put out "Pacifica". (1986)...Then Jed and John in a duo a year or so later in West Columbia. THEN, another promoter hosted them about 7 or 8 years later back in Columbia @ Worshop Theater. A Sunday night we will all remember to MULTIPLE standing ovations. I have since lost track of them, wondering, whatever became of them all!

Holy Cow...I can't believe you posted this...one of my greatest musical experiences was around 1991-92 when I saw The House Band in a little place in Spencertown, New York. I had no idea who they were and the blew my mind. And this tune (I believe was the encore) moved me in a way like never before. The laid back first tune into the energy driven second tune...it will be a memory they stays with forever. Thank you so much for posting this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had fun shooting a bit of storm cloud footage using Hyperlapse before the rain came pouring down.
