Hi! My name is Herman and this is Wander Antics: a channel of fun little videos about me, my wife Liisa and our friends doing stuff outdoors: having little adventures on foot or on some vehicle in our homeland Estonia and occasionally also abroad, camping, cookery, summer home time, even doing something useful every now and then or just goofing around in fresh air!
Sometimes we need to pep ourselves to break out from our day-to-day-routines, get out there and feel more alive. If our shenanigans manage to give also someone else a little positive sting, then we consider ourselves successful!
When uploading this video I learned that spots in the area (and some other places in Madeira) have been used as filming locations for new Star Wars series: The Acolyte 😱 Anybody seen and recognized👀😀?
🤛Yehs, these streets and little roads are quite special 😁 Thank you too for making nice content and I'll keep my eyes peeled for your African adventure 👀
Basically there are four terms: hiking, trekking, mountaineering and backpacking. • Hiking = going on long walks in nature, often a couple of hours or up to a day in length. • Trekking = longer and more difficult journey on foot that lasts several days or weeks. • Mountaineering = An extreme version of hiking or trekking that includes summiting a mountain. • Backpacking = hiking or trekking that also includes camping where you carry all your camping gear with you in a backpack. Think you did hiking and backpacking :) Sad you did not go to Narva Venice, that is a system of canals with garages for boats near the Narva water reservoir. Be sure to visit that place also in the future and don't forget to make a video :)
Thank You - that's a solid and thorough categorizing and I can quite agree with it :) As for the Venice of Narva - yeah I discovered it's existence quite shortly after the trip and was also bit sad we didn't visit such an interesting place. But we'll be sure to visit it in the future. In fact I have a video idea for (not yet defined) future about visiting some strange and maybe even a bit bizarre places in Estonia and I think North-East Estonia is likely to have a highest concentration of those 😝
Great video man! Beautiful landscapes and views there! New sub here, looking forward to more videos! (I'm a RU-vid junkie from watching to creating! lol)
Thank You guys! Slowly but steadily we will keep it up 💪 The car has since that trip gone through couple of upgrades, so now we can throw even more at it 😎
Just loved this video much love God bless 🙌🙏❤ made feel at peace ✌great production loved the music aswell keep up the great videos God is blessing you🥰🥰❤
Thank You! On Your another note... I think shorts like this one can be relatively easy, if You had for example a shorter sort of hike as a main subject. Then basically You pick one theme song that should be the rythmical backbone and also a boundry setting factor that forces You to pick the best parts with what You are still able to tell your story. The harder part can be creating a mood/emotion into the video. In this case it was easy because cute dogs but sometimes it can be harder. Well that's my thoughts on shorts, but I myself am totally novice yet so everything I say should be taken with a grain of salt. For me the next challenge/stepping stone to overcome would be making videos with voiceovers. I guess it is kind of a normal evolution, but it's bit scary for me 😬 Best of luck for both of us in figuring these things out! 💪
Hi! The tarps I used are most basic cheap load covers that you can buy from hardware store for less than 10 euros (3x5m). Cons for these are that they are not very tough, can get punctured relatively easily when - let's say - pulled against sharp tree branches. And they are quite noisy in the wind and rain. But pros are that they are cheap, lightweight, and - when not damaged - 100% rainproof. I've used the two for about three years already as makeshift awnings or quick shelters and they have served me well. Thank You for nice words - I am happy You liked the video! 🙂
Nothing better like breakfast like this and coffee. Love your video! Little question why you dont buy campervan. 😀 Keep up good work brother. I hope we make video together some day 😀
Thank You for Your kind words, glad You love it! I also enjoy Your uploads & I also think it could be interesting to maybe make some video together some day 🙂 (though I am still quite a NOOB in this video making game 😀) About the camper van... maybe I'll totally buy one when I'll get older and need more comfort 🙂 But at the current moment I like to keep my outdoor antics more simple, basic and down-to-earth, so to say. Also while I am not a hard core offroad enthusiast, I sometimes love a bit of crawling and I like that my current vehicle can take me further on hard terrain than ordinary camper van could. Aaand there is also this little thing that camper vans tend to be a bit above my budget 💸😝 That all been said there are some moments now and then when I think about wanting a bit bigger SUV to be more able to fit some overlander stuff in the back. But as of now, GV is fine enough for me 🙂
Thanx bro! If You haven't yet been to Tenerife, I defo suggest it - it is a paradise for hiking and Adventure enthusiasts ;) Been there 5 times already and not enough yet!
