I remember Bobby Bowden‘s comment even though Miami beat Florida State that year and we were number two in the AP poll Bobby Bowden said how about them dag gum, computers
Sad thing is we should’ve won the national championship that year we should’ve went to the national championship game. We were the best team but that’s before the playoffs and everything else.
As a hurricane fan, we always look at Florida State is our chief rival. We don’t play the gators every year, but I’m trying to remember the last time we didn’t play a game with them that there wasn’t off off field drama there’s a lot of emotion in this game. I’m looking forward to going to the gameAugust 31 at Florida Field. Both teams are in similar situations and both teams really need to win the game so I know it’s gonna be tremendous.
These were the two best teams in the country in 2001 as well. Florida's 1996 team was the only better Spurrier team than 2001, but they blew it against Tennessee in the 9/11 makeup game. Could've been a good Rose Bowl.
USC was playing below Fresnos ability to make it a game. Half of the USC players during the game were nodding off. Fresno made it a game only because USC let them. In the end, USC gets the boring win.
Taylor Jacob's jabber Gaffney and Caldwell was better than miami's wideouts in college, it's crazy because Miami wideouts was the worst out of the 3 Florida schools at that time, it's crazy how they ended up having the better nfl careers, besides johnson Miami wr core was average, Santana was a great return man, Wayne was decent but I wouldn't take them over those other 2 Florida schools wr
Knowing what we all know now man they were some studs on both sides that was a complete team and even more so now lots of hall of famers from that one team. TRE POUND TO DA MFKN FRONT
Good ol' Stanford power football. Miss those days. That team under performed though and lost 2-3 they really shouldn't have, including with Luck our for their bowl game. Unfortunately Toby's pro career was stymied by going to the Vikes behind AP and then he went for the money and certain failure to the tire fire that was the Jaguars. Still, a great back and great year in 2009.
I see a ton of balls being dropped in football games, at all levels. With all of these players wearing gloves these days there is no excuse for dropping a ball that hits you in the hands!
