When you remove the mirror ensure that it is fully angled either down or upright. This will ensure that it gives you enough leverage to pop it out from the side that is exposed. I hope this helps.
90sec into the video I spotted your first mistake... You left the car sitting on 2 jacks. Never do that, especially if you're going under the car, for safety sake grab a couple of jack stands!

Hi there. Do I need to take off both undertrays? I only have one jack and cant get far enough underneath to get to the two bolts holding the small tray on.
Well my mirror caps were screwed on. Had to remove the mirror glass to get to the screws to then pull the cap off. Thank you for wasting half an hour or so of my time trying to remove the caps like you did before I thought to remove the glass and check where the clips are located to see as to why it wouldn't come off. So heads up people, not all mirrors are like this one. I recommend removing the glass first and checking
Is that car equipped with distronic? I just installed a grille on mine but it didn’t fit with my original distronic star emblem, so I couldn’t use the adaptive cruise control feature any more. Also the camera didn’t fit properly in the new grille. Looking for a Panamericana grille that fits my emblem and camera now.
Do you think I need to take both undertrays off or can I just get the one closest to the bumper. I only have one jack and not confident enough with this new car to put it on stands coz I dont know where the jack point is at the front of the car.

I’m looking at getting these to build into my rx8 mirror going to carbon chopped cover it and cut and fit this but noticed you don’t get any wires what plug do you have so I can try find one to wire in. Thanks
I’m so glad you said this, I had the same problem with my Golf when I did this mod and I liked the signal at the top so I can see it from inside the car. No video shows what they look like from the drivers seat, thank you for prompting this out for me.
Found this vid trying to figure out how to do mine. Use WD40 and a large flat screwdriver. Apply WD40 into the tip from the back and let sit for 10 minutes. Insert screwdriver into the small gap between the back of the tip and the muffler. Lever gently until the tip comes loose. Done. Just saved you a bunch of money on some weird gadget. WOW......You have risked your life under a car just using two hydraulic jacks, having seen someone killed by being under a car just on jacks and not using axle stands I had to mention the danger you are putting yourself under, hydraulic jacks can and do give way
