i didn't really like how they handled the DC one shot House of mystery because usually they meant to be a standalone story and not connected to any continuity
exactlyyy, the crime syndicate were just plugged in as a plot device, made them all dumb asides maybe the speedster, and killed them and their universe for shock value. exactly don't know what happened to the writing of batman, its supposed to be the same one aa the long halloween and his actions just never reflects that One thing that really annoys me with the origin stories too was the fact they did a Supergirl reorigin like what was the point of her movie then .
It's ture. The evil speedster was named johnny quick. What's even worse is at the tomorrowverse Could have been an awesome dc animated continuity in its own right but it was Plagued with executive medaling & bad creative Decisions. It was also tied into the fact that wb wasted too much time on throwing a money away on the dceu/snyderverse. Also I agree. Supergirl has gotten way to many ReImagines of her origin story. Over and over. Dceaced & injustice. Now they made her an adoptive Daughter of mar novu aka the monitor. As I said, they could have turned the origins of Barry Allen flash & john Constantine. Psycho pirate. All of those origins could have been given their own short or animated move. Or even tie in comic books like the good old days of dc cartoons. Of the crime syndicate was smart. They would have been similar to counter parts from justice league crisis on two earths. Like owlman he built a bomb that could destroy the multiverse. The multiverse is a cancer Would have worked better in that continuity in then one. Also it doesn't make sense that a multiverse is a cancer. It would have made more sense of the Anti-Monitor or Anti-Monitors were a cancer Given The nature of the comic book crisis on infinite earths. Also I think the idea of multiple Anti-Monitors Could have work but the way he did it Felt like a quick way to end it all. Honestly , I would have rather have waited for a better animated crisis on infinite earths then to get the rushed version we got.
I completely agree. The flash Barry Allen & john Constantine should've gotten their own movies. One movie for how the tomorrowverse multiverse came to be so the multiverse Origin can be out of the way. The flash getting his own solo movie could've been the life of Barry Allen in the tomorrowverse starting with the loss of his memories by specter similar to john Constantine. He has no memory at frist of something like that.
Now of these movies were good in my opinion. The frist part felt like a flash movie rather then a crisis movie. Part 2 felt like it was supposed to be part 1. Part 3 felt like it was supposed to be part 2 in my opinion. The crime syndicate was very out of character. If this was owlman from justice league crisis on two earths he would stood there before he died and said "It Doesn't matter." Also ultraman punching the wall was out of character. If they follow the comics he flew Peacefully in to it. If this was ultraman from justice league crisis on two earths. He would have put aside his Desires temporarily until the event was over & listened to flash. In Justice League crisis on two earths he listened to reason until Owlman was defeated because he didn't want to die. If he lived he would've waited to think about conquering the multiverse once the events was over. Tomorrowverse was not a well written character compared to other versions of batman. If he was well written he wouldn't have thought of dropping bombs on central city. He would've worked on none destructive solution. If he was well written he would asked green arrow to keep his secret politely. Part 1 and part 2 I thought were plugged with pointless long drawn out Expositions & unnecessary origin stories in my opinion. I might rewrite the tomorrowverse crisis on infinite earths ad future project some day. Also crisis on infinite earths should've been made back when dc was good. Like the dcau creative team or justice league crisis on two earths creative team instead.
I’m not gonna lie, the movie was pretty okay, even tho Kate and Kevin feel too old and seemed like they didn’t wanna be there. I am a fan of the borderland games and they didn’t do a lot of justice for the games but they definitely exceeded my low expectations, Claptrap was great, Tina was great and so was our Pyscho but also this was the first movie that made Jamie lee Curtis tits look amazing LMAO
Call me a Normie, but mine is: 1. The Batman (genuinely the best movie out of Covid) not even close 2. Dune part 2 3. A silent voice 4. Everything everywhere all at once
the batman is soo good frrr, i really need to rewatch silent voice again didn't do it justice as well as EEAAO Dune 2 is soo good too, but really waiting for the whole trilogy to just wrap upp
They rushed the JSA. Those characters barely appear in tv/movies so they needed maybe two solo films before having them meet the modern heroes. I say they cause I know WB doesn’t have the stones to give the individual members like the wartime Lantern; Hawkman etc their own film or short 😢
Honestly, I think Crisis On Infinite Earths Part 3 is just terrible. The fact that it tried to connect the Tommorrowverse with the DCAU, the Teen Titans show, and the SuperFriends cartoon, and just kill them off is just disgusting & bitter. While the comic did kill off the DC Multiverse of the Golden-Bronze Age of comics, the original Crisis Storyline only focused on the comics continuity, and killed off that multiverse. The movie tries to pretend that the DCAU, Teen Titans Series, and also the SuperFriends show as part of the same multiverse as the Tommorrowverse, but it doesn’t work because they had their own multiverse just as the Tommorrowverse & DCAMU had. And the fact that the whole Crisis movie’s just made to set up the new DCU is just insulting, confusing, and also bullshit. If DC wanted to reboot the entire universe in order for the DCU to get started, then the DCEU should’ve ended with their own Crisis On Infinite Earths, instead of a Flash that barely adapts the Flashpoint Paradox. Granted, the original Storyline by Marv Wolfman did reboot the DC Universe in what’s regarded as the Post-Crisis, but it ended decades of comic history, whereas the new movie creates more problems then solving problems, if that makes any sense. If I had to choose between the CW Crisis on Infinite Earths, and the Tommorrowverse trilogy, I would pick the CW one because while there were things that I really get infuriated by (Kevin Conroy being evil), I really think it did a better job at handling the legacy of DC Media compared to the animated one. Honestly, people should look at the film instead of only focusing on its tribute to the Late Kevin Conroy. That scene was good, but it doesn’t make the movie good in my opinion.
@@germexe yeah i didn't really say it was bad, just was not as great as 1-3. But I do still see the appeal for everyone that says its great and one of the best, just not for me.
@@ephraimajuyah Welly welly well ...if you think so . Ah...who am i kidding. Of course you're wrong ...Season 4 was WAY better than Season 1 and 2 and on par with the best season so far , Season 3. Fact! Sure you are entiteld to your opinion... but it's nonsense and you sould know better. Hope i could enlighten you there.
@@countvertigo5869 funny because season 2 in my opinion was the best season of the boys, but always think because of its release in the end of covid and being the middle one, people usually forget it. Could also just be because of how memorable season 3 was with soldier boy and the use of v24 But I can understand why you'd love season 4, i also never said it was bad, just said it was a drop of. Just won't be one of my top 2 seasons.
@@ephraimajuyah i am perfectly Okay with someone personaly prefering one season to another ...in the end its all a matter of taste. But i think , if ones objektiv,The Boys found their beat in Season 3 and really kept it trouhgout Season 4 with Season 2 being the weakest. And i watched the second Season twice ...didn't get better second time around .
This series was disappointing and wasted potential, this universe was so rushed and underdeveloped that I didn’t feel any attachment to any of these versions of the characters, and showing the destruction of the previous continuities like the DCAU and Teen Titans rung hollow not only because it’s a disservice to those better stories but also they will never commit to their destruction nor will it commit to a single universe.
its a shame because i think it was its rush was cause and effect of james' arrival to dc. But also because of that i think it will stick to its singular universe, as well as some else worlds projects
@@ephraimajuyah I doubt Gunn was the main factor or that he had anything to do with this at all. This series felt like it was getting rushed out the door before Gunn was even hired.
I've seen the movie and I thought. All the scenes that featured previous dc Tv shows were just eye candy to me because they've kind of done the same thing with team titans go versus teen titans movie. There was a lot of changes that didn't really make sense to me in my opinion but at the same time I understand why they attempted to make those changes. I noticed a number of inconsistencies when you put the 3 movies together. Here is a lesson that I have learned over the years and i've learned it from a youtube channel called comics explained. "Never take anything in comics as absolute. Because anything can change at any time". And that statement was proven true because dc comics the entire multiverse and a the old version of the multiverse in dark crisis. As for those other previous dc continuities. I called it and I did predict it. I did say all the other continuities. Were just going to play the roles of universes that either make small cameos or get destroyed. Or play smaller roles. They pretty much destroyed those versions of those old continuities that were featured in the 3rd movie. Look at the superman that came out in the old cartoon in the 40s from max fleischer superman cartoons. He appeared in the cw crisis on infinite earths tie in comic and despite earth f as it was called got destroyed. He got a small continuation comic book in recent years. Is it possible the other character Can come back. The answer is yes, because they are fictional characters and the company or the writers Can bring him back at any time if green lit for a project. Like batman beyond he Got so many comic books despite Having only one show Almost getting a movie in a similar style to spider-man into the spider verse. Also Batman from Batman the animated series also appeared in the appeared in main batman comic book titles featuring different jokers across the comic multiverse. At the very end of the day. I just treat all these shows and movies as of a third or just their own isolated things in the end. They are just their own franchises made of the larger publication of war brothers. If they really wanted to make continuations of these old tv continuities. they will if green lit or Warner brothers grants them permission. Some people didn't even think that the dcamu john Constantine and barry allen Were going to tomorrowverse Until it came out I know because I was one them. Warner Brothers and dc entertainment Can do whatever they want with all these continuities at the end of the day. If they want to use them again they will ignore anything they did in the past. me personally I don't really think dcau and earth 12 are the same continuity because there are some changes and things that don't fit the Animated Shows. I recommend watching Watch tower database on earth 12 and the dcau video on that note. Also I want to mention that james gunn did stated that justice league crisis on infinite earths animated movies and the tomorrowverse/dcamu are not tied to his upcoming continuity which implies he plans to make his own version crisis on infinite earths in the future. Overall, I don't take anything in fiction absolute because anything can change at any time.
There’s a channel called Watchtower Database, where they mostly talk about the DCAU and it’s continuity. While the art style & designs are slightly different between BTAS & the other DCAU shows, that doesn’t mean BTAS isn’t part of the same universe as it clearly is, as stated by the people who worked on the DCAU Shows & BTAS, as well as comics in the DCAU that features flashbacks of the BTAS versions of the Batman characters, with the TNBA or JLU design of Batman serving as the present design in those comics. On top of that, but TNBA is actually listed as Season 4 or Season 3 of BTAS, despite having a different animation art style. And due to the DCAU frequently using the BTAS theme & songs whenever Batman or his enemies shows up, not to mention his enemies from BTAS show up frequently in JLU and are referenced to in Batman Beyond, it’s clear that Bruce Timm, and the other people who worked on the DCAU, intended BTAS to be apart of it’s continuity.
Part 3 was SO much more enjoyable and entertaining than the first two parts to me and I honestly am really happy with a lot of the choices they made in the third part. Great fan service without overdoing it. Not a bad way to finish things off 🩵
For me I just could not get past how much I disliked the animation style they went with. The only one I watched all the way through is Batman Long Halloween 1&2.
Hopefully after the Tomorrowverse we can get amazing DC animated movies again. It won't be the same without Kevin but I feel like Bruce Greenwood would be a great successor.
Everything about this 'Tomorrowverse' was so very bad. It's like it was made by people who don't watch/like DC animation/comics. I watched every single entry. I was bored by every single entry.
Hey bro this was a really great video to watch. Me and my Dad have loved watching other animated DC movies, but when we got to these ones they were so hard to watch through. We enjoyed the Long Halloween parts and the Superman one since those have been the only ones we’ve been able to watch through. We tried watching infinite earth but couldn’t do it. It was so awful and I hope the next projects they got lined up resemble the early 2010’s. Again good video and loved all your points.
don't even blame both of you for not following through 😭. exactly hope the new one's bring back that flair, like creature commandoes animation already looks promising. Happy you enjoyed the video too
Lol as a Ghanaian who got introduced to DC animation, I completely agree with you. My first DC animated movie i watched was Justice league Doom on DVD. Ever since, I was hooked on the DCAMU
I was genuinely confused when the movie just threw her "best friends"who apparently are a big part of her life in our face without a bigger introduction.
Just before saying anything, I am so impressed by the quality and the work you put into your video ! Keep it up man !! I loved the movie so much, thanks for your video
I'm mad that they broke up Superman & Wonder Woman. They belonged together both in the Comics and the animated movies. DC never lets their relationship really shine like it should and I'm tired of it.
@@ephraimajuyah Can't be more awful than the same universe where Kid Flash is Barry Allen & Jason Todd, Tim Drake & Oliver Queen DOES NOT EXIST despite Damian & Roy did 🙄
it was never said kid flash was barry, and the films/universe probably wanted to just focus on the bruce and Damien father and son relationship and threw in dick as a brother figure. So adding Jason and Tim Drake would have been overcrowding. But no green arrow appearance was a shame
Well i enjoyed dcamu but it was a hit or miss for me i don't like how the main characters are basicly batman and his son and superman and constantine and maybe cyborg he played big roles in the beginning and the ending of this universe but the rest of the justice league and titans felt like just a supporting characters but at least when dceu failed dc compensated us with those movies however dcau still the best dc universe for me
yesh it was a very Damien and Bruce centric universe, shame we really get much diversity outside superman, constantine and maybe the suicide squad. dcau was mainly just the animated series right?
