Hello, friends! I'm Dr. Stephen Ray, and I've been documenting my journey through dental school and into dentistry for years. On this channel, I've created a collection of videos that chronicle my four years of dental school, starting as a lonely D1 during COVID and ending as a complete Doctor of Dental Surgery. I cover various topics related to dental school and am excited to begin creating videos aimed at my fellow dentists and prospective patients. This channel is all about passion, creativity, self-care, service of others, and brightening up the world one smile at a time. Join me on this journey and subscribe today!
Hi Stephen I wanted to tell you that I passed 2nd year and I’m officially a 3rd year dental student!! I wanted to ask you how can I increase my gpa in dental school, id appreciate anytips 😊
Did you open your own clinic or did you team up with your dad? I may have missed the details in a previous video. I’m interested in the part they don’t teach y’all in school; buying into a clinic, as an associate how is pay structured. Do they give you the overflow patients or do you have to bring in your own new ones. Ways to structure buying out an older retiring dr clinic. They teach y’all how to do dentistry as a practice but not how to run a dental business. Some of the older dentist say it isn’t financially viable any more. 6 months after graduating your school loans come due! So it is impossible to go out and buy into a practice and that is why big corporate dentistry is taking over, because the new kids coming out are so financially strapped that they have to go straight to work for the DSO’s. How valuable would you put it to be able to walk into (or buy into) a family members clinic that is ready to retire. I am assuming there would be some great benefits to that in hopes of some owner financing. Now that u have gone through this what suggestions and insight do you have.
My Anki is completely different. I have no access to Browse and take any decks from others. I cannot find any Decks from others. I don't understand how it is working...My Anki does not work like and don't look like that...
Great video! Thank you for your work! I used to be a moderator of the medical school anki subreddit (Wildcard Workflow)! I'm making an anki deck for the Family Medicine community (Famki) now and I'll share your vids with a family member of mine interested in applying for dental school!
Hi, I attempted Example 4 on my own before you explained it, but how did you only get 2 without painted sides for the number of sides that had 0 painted? Shouldn't the answer be 3? Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe I'm a bit confused still.
I’m 22 about to get out of the military and start college. I’m really considering this. Thank you! And I see you posted this 3 years ago, I hope you’re working with your dad now bro!
Proud to see this and hear you are graduating!! You did a great job with my new teeth and now I can actually smile and laugh with confidence!! Congratulations Steven!! Thank you for all the hard work you did to get me a full set of teeth again!! Hope you future is full and bright! Your student patient Brittany!
Hi Stephen, thanks for sharing this! Love the Q&A. Just wanna share with you that Jesus loves you! We don't have to go through a Catholic priest to connect to God, we can do so directly by praying to Him!
Praise the Lord! The Catholic Church doesn’t teach that we have to go through a priest to get to Jesus! That is a misconception of Catholic teaching. The Church teaches that Jesus gave a special priestly role to his twelve apostles and that they then passed down that special role to other men as is evidenced in the replacement of Judas by Matthias by the guidance of the Holy Spirit in Acts Chapter 1. God created the priestly order with Adam in Genesis and it didn’t end with Jesus. Jesus is our High Priest and He established a new order of priests in His new covenant to offer the most important sacrifice in history: The Eucharist which is the new and eternal covenant. Hello! I’m a Highschool student that just finished his freshmen year and I’ve wanted to be a dentist for a while and the questions I always ask myself is dentistry worth it? How much debt will I get into and is it a stable job?
Hey Dr. Stephen, I am guessing I can call you that. Would you go into dentistry for the money aspect of it? Is it a good step towards financial freedom and time freedom?
