The Petworth Festival exists to show off our beautiful part of the world, to bring magnificent performers and performances to the locality, and to draw in both our local audience and ones from much further afield.
Founded in 1979, the summer arts festival covers multiple genres ranging through classical, world, traditional, contemporary music and jazz, to cabaret, comedy, theatre, family entertainment and the visual arts.
Lead names in 2023 (11 - 29 July 2023) include classical stars Jess Gillam and Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, top vocal group Tenebrae, comedy from Clive Anderson, bands Shakatak and The Manfreds and folk legends Gigspanner.
Petworth Festival Literary Week runs annually in the Autumn, this year between 25 October - 5 November 2023.
