I was there as I was for every performance he has done in New Orleans for many years. The show was exactly what Neil Young and Crazy Horse were supposed to be. They gave a better representation of themselves at their best than any of the legacy acts that performed over the two weeks of Jazz Fest including the Stones. None of them were less than good, but none of them came close to being as good as Neil and the guys.
As a music lover. I am deeply bothered by the drummer in the background who doesn’t care about anything about the song until he has to drum. Laugh and joke and eat when your singer pours his heart out? Absolutely disgusting and completely disrespectful
Neil wrote that song before 2020's censorship. As bad as they were, Record Labels would not allow the government f**kin' with they're bottom line. 🎶= 💰 Write a song criticizing the President today and it will get snatched down faster than S. I was 18 when they hit the big time in 1964. Think of the groups who have come and gone in those 60 years. And here they are rockin away in 2024. Amazing.
Neil was born 1945. The Census Bureau defines Baby Boomers as born mid-1946 to mid-1964. Neil is actually too old to be a Baby Boomer. As a Baby Boomer I'm insulted. 🤣
