Always run the engine to get full amperage to the compressor. Use vehicle or towable specs for tire pressure not tire sidewall.

WARNING: I bought the 300P to save money, and the 400 & 450 was over kill for my situation. The 300 doesn't turn off unless you flip the switch, which involves a lot of running back and forth from the tire to the compressor. Also, I HATE those slinky hoses so I use a standard rubber hose (must use a double female fitting at the pump or change out the male fitting on the compressor). Wish I would have bought this one, or gone with a different manufacturer.

Exactly what I was looking for. A video that would show the best compressor type for my RV tires. Thank you so much.

The best solution is travel trailers. You are using the tow vehicle approved seats.

There are some RVs that have car seat anchors. It’s not easy to look up which ones do. That could make for a good article. Car seats are not safe in a sideways position. Booster seats require a lap and shoulder belt.

I love the “we provide snacks” when the kids take the baby to the park. Too cute!!! I’m curious about work when you’re on the road? My husband says in a year or 2 he can take 2-3 months off at a time. I find it hard to believe but we will see. Our kids are grown now but he’s a workaholic and we aren’t anywhere near retirement age …

Hi!!! New here!!! You 2 are awesome!!!💜. I couldn’t agree more about the class A or C for the convenience (bathroom, fridge and the room while driving etc). I bought a 91 Winnebago Warrior to remodel and bring to a Jellystone in NY for the summer. Lol. He did get a lot done but there’s still more to finish. Idk what I was thinking with the decor cuz I have my 6 year old grandson and keeping this place tidy is hard as hell!!! I do want a Class A. I saw the Winnebago Forza 38W. That one is a Jaw Dropper!!! Holy Moly. Perfection and Steeeep price. I’m crossing my fingers I get my hands on one of those used one day! I’m looking for a tour of yours. Did you do a tour? I’m gonna keep checking now. Have a great last week of summer!

From my understanding, the 400p has a higher cfm, which should make it faster (on paper). The trade off is runtime before overheating.

You're supposed to use these air-compressors (the ones that come with alligator clips vs. a 12v accessory-socket plug) while the vehicle is running so you don't drain the battery. I have the Viair 450P (not the "RV" model of the 450P, but both identical performance-wise) and use it for my Daily Driver (previously a Honda Pilot, now a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with stock/OEM 33" tires) as I don't own a RV (yet). I wanted a 12v compressor with a higher Duty Cycle than pretty much all the other 12v choices had, AND be able to handle tires larger than mine (applying the "more is better" doctrine, in case you ever DO need the extra capacity/performance) so the 450P was for me. "Experts" said back then (4-5 years ago) the 450P was "the best 12v compressor under $300" and I think that was accurate. So far, no issues with it as it's always worked. I've recently seen RU-vid videos on the NAPA 300LPM compressor -- a double-cylinder model that is way faster than the Viair -- but not sure of it's quality/durability over time. Or, if parts are available for if if it needs them. Plus, it has no warranty of ANY length. Otherwise though, if one wants a FAST compressor, at 1/3 the price of a 450P, then the NAPA is it...even beat an ARB double-cylinder compressor in a speed test (but of course, the ARB is likely of better quality/durability). Still, I'll be keeping/using my Viair 450P. -- BR

One other note, consider leaving your dump hose connected to the plumbing at the valve, and storing the hose in that compartment. It saves a lot of time when dumping, and it's less messy. Simply dump the black first, then the gray, then shake the hose out good to all the gray comes out of the crevices of the hose. It's fast. And don't camp with your valves open while connected. That's a recipe for trouble. Always fill tanks to at least half full, on the black and gray, then dump, then shut the valves back when camping in the same place for weeks.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Baystar 3312 (must be discontinued now). We're considering the 2022 year, model 3401, where the plumbing and water lines don't move when moving the living room slide. I just don't like articulating plumbing. It also doesn't have the issues with the bathroom door, and folding the bed. Can you even get in the bathroom with the bedroom slide in? That would be a show stopper if you can't use the bathroom while traveling, especially with kids.

Do you have any info on getting a loan for a used sale by owner travel trailer? Looking into Casitas. I have chemical sensitivity so buying used seems smart. Unfortunately nothing is ever a sure thing. I could try to trailer and it not work out.

Sorry, but when you have a kid, you put their safety first. Maybe it means buying a new RV, maybe it means waiting to use the RV until they're older. Those seatbelts in the beds and kitchen areas are not rated for carseats. It's extremely unsafe, and you can join any RVing with kids group and everyone knows that.

RV mortgage or a home mortgage is NOT a bad thing if you can make more money than your 4-6% interest. Make sure you think out of the box with your finances.

Wouldnt the 400p put fill up the tires easier since it puts out 230cfm 12v or 254 24v compared to the 450p 180 cfm? I thought the cfm's matter more than the psi?

You mentioned nothing about deducting the loan interest from your taxes as it can be considered a second home. Kind of a big consideration to leave out.
