Good job on the workout Neil (and Sharon on the camera!) Can I ask how much icecream you added to the first recipe? Love Halo Top, if I close my eyes I can pretend it's Hagen Daaz lol
I’m not overweight but I do make fun out of myself with my MS. It’s just my way of dealing with ill health Pal. I’m 51 & I use a Rotator in my wee house 🏡 Dazz Pal.
Bloody hell Daz that's just what I do! My usual one is after getting out at a weighbridge if I'm a hundredweight or so over then exclaiming to the weighbridge clerk that now I'm half a tonne under! Have a good weekend fella.
I used to do that too mate.. lovely to know you’re still watching the channel mate, thank you!! if you ever need any help with anything mate, just holla!!
Spot on. I use the NutraCheck app to track all my macros daily. I’m possibly the only tramper out there with a 6 pack 😂 I’m 5’6” - a year ago I was 64kg, I’m now 60.5 through getting my 10,000 steps in and gradually achieving it through a tiny deficit. Slow and steady wins the race 👊🏻 Oh and 100% - carbs are absolutely not the devil I used to think they were! But protein is key for me: 150g per day and I’m golden 😎
No, got my request to do my next medical but shan’t bother now mate.. Just to get a bit of extra cash I have a little self employed van job a couple of days a week, £17.50 an hour.. money for old rope.. keeps me busy.
An ex chief fireman I knew, Ross, had emphesema, walk about five steps and be out of breath, wheezing. Not nice to have at all. Obviously it was the job he did that contributed to it, and he did defiantly smoke too, because he was a stubborn character, didn't take no sh*t from anyone, bless his cotton socks RIP.
@@drivefitnessuk - They're supposed to be quite good for building up cardio as they're low impact. I find them to be more reliable than treadmills, for at home workouts. They're costly however. I do 4 on 4 off and on my off days I just smash out rowing workouts, keep the old ticker going.
@@lukey3507 Yeah, really good for low impact.. I like them, my cardio is mainly walking at the moment. I usually do a bit on the treadmill and stairmaster to warm up though
Im right with you buddy, no one has any respect for a truck driver including your own family. All I ever got was berated by people who weren't fit to wipe my boots.
Hey! RU-vid recommended me this video on my feed and its really good! Kudos to the work that you're doing 😊 Btw I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make highly engaging shorts out of them. but I'm not really sure if it is the best time?
Congratulations on all your achievements mate .Got to say I agree with your statement about truck driving did it for many years got treated pretty bad by most companies
I left the industry in 2011, i did 22 years on general haulage. I'd had enough, even back then i noticed the job getting worse. I noticed it more because i worked for the same firm all that time, they weren't a bad firm, but the job and the company altered. Good luck in the future, you've done the right thing.
I retired early it’s not a good industry to be in these days and I wouldn’t advise anyone to go into it. If your thinking about it remember the cost of getting that licence is Hugh so think carefully ask other drivers there option and I say this because to spend that much money and six months to a year you don’t like it or your relationship suffers this is something you should think about. However I wish anyone brave enough the very best.
Maybe the trick is to tell them what you are prepared to do. If they fire you move onto the next firm till you find one that will let you get away with it.....yes I know easier said than done but worth a try!
Thanks for your healt advice Darren... I am a trucker and would love if you started your new videos on how us trucker can stay mentally and physically fit.. I find drinking 2 litres of water a day great for my head and may God bless you on your future.. Tommy from Ireland 🇮🇪
I Came off the artics last year mate. Went back on the school buses instead. Yeah the money on the wagons can be OK. But it doesn't compensate for the shit you have put up with. I'm on £3.50 per hour less now. But it's a hell of a lot less stressful.
@@drivefitnessuk I only work 5 days now mate. In for 7 and finish for 4:15. Our company does a sight seeing tour bus too, so when the schools are off, I drive that. Tips are ok too.
Sorry to hear you had such a rough time nate what exactly was it that caused you so much stress if you don't mind my asking? Hope you're doing better pal 👍
@jameswilkinson3281 Was basically the constant pressure you are under, drivers hours, VOSA, boss wanting you to run illegally, never any sleep, loaded overweight, they fudged the weights on the manifest. In the end all got to much, and I had a total nervous breakdown. You simply cannot work the amount of hours, and be under all that pressure 24/7, for instance I now still jump if the phone rings, my own phone, yep, that job ruined me totaly.
Hi I've been reading the comments and there is not a lot of love lost about driving I have been a driver for over 40 years and I know what you mean you do get treated like rubbish but I have worked over 33 years at my last job I'm from the north but moved to worksop because of my partner I have met but let say I used to get on better with the people I was working for her and I did love driving but I have worked for some company that have been treated like a dog but It's stressful job definitely long hours never in the house but I know what you mean and you need to keep healthy and I hope you can find what you looking for and if you do go driving just do something trunk work and part time just when you want
Cheers! I’m looking at PT’ing for drivers now, try and get some of them feeling physically and mentally better.. I know some won’t be interested, but if I did it, I’m sure others will want to
