Tried to get in to sky club in salt lake I was a first class ticket holder and amex delta platinum card holder. I was told I could pay annual membership of 495.00 or 29.95 for the hour I would be there.

Those airport lounges look like fucking hospital waiting rooms with the really bland decor, white walls, and bright lights.

Thanks very much for the sneak peek and showing me what to expect. After working almost 9 years teaching in China, it's time for me to return to the U.S. to stay. And my youngest brother surprised me with a little gift... he'd gone and paid for a one-day pass for the Delta Sky Club in Detroit just for me. Word is, it's one of the more crowded of the clubs, but at least I'll get to see and use one for the first time ever.

Not all Delta frequent flyers have free access. The only ones that get a free full membership are Delta Diamonds (125K+ miles a year). Gold and higher get free access if they are flying international. You get free access as well if you are a Delta RESERVE Am Ex cardholder or Amex Platnium cardholder (and flying delta that day). Fortunately priority pass doesn't work there and I hope they never participate (I am a paid SC member and the lounges are overcrowded as it is)

even having the priority pass cardholder, did you have to pay a fee when you enter at the lounge??

Hey Holanz I was wondering if they allow passengers to the Sky Club with a Coach ticket even if you are a Platinum member with American Express.

I love these electromechanical movements. Turning fork vibration into rotary movement is just sick stuff.

What phone are you using to record in 1080p? Good video, a little shaky, but that's understandable. Also, no one seemed to mind you recording video, but I'd be a little more careful.

@gmlasam No they are both battery powered. The Accutron 214 has a battery driven tuning fork movement, Find out what an Accutron 214/218 IS before you go telling people.

One is battery powered while the other is spring or mechanically powered. The battery powered quartz will be more accurate, but the spring powered is more durable, finely crafted and more collectable. Seiko is still makes the spring powered watches, Seiko 5s, that can be purchased for less than $70 new.
