Can’t believe I bought about half of these for $10-$20 around 8-10 years ago… missing the manuals for a couple though because at the time I was really young and didn’t focus too much on getting the games complete… just having them to play…
N32 is the only game here i played, got it as a rental back when thoes places still existed and loved it, I did play 50 cent bullet proof and doa xtreme beach volleyball but never their sequels shown here
for some reason the game back to the future is selling for like 30 bucks on ebay. all the copies are selling for a lot of money, i didnt see any that were like 4 or 5 bucks like most 360 games.
The first game you showed with the girl I paid $2.99 in 2024 for that game that’s how much cheap it is then being expensive your buying mostly from scalpers they make cheap games cost a thousand that’s not expensive would you like to pay a scalper a price of a house for a game what the scalpers do is go buy out everything then make up their own prices

Man, i atarted collecting at a strange time. Just recently got the saboteur for $20 in like new condition and a few months ago won a bid on a really nice copy of Wet for $8 including shipping lol. Most of my other rarities were also expensive at the time (only been collecting for maybe a year and a half at this point), and most prices have increased since then for me in that short time. Most rare titles anyone can buy for Xbox 360, I've chased down and snagged really nice/clean and complete copies of.
It’s so weird because prices can change so quickly and depending when you start collecting different consoles can be cheaper or more expensive. It helps to have a few collecting goals to focus your efforts rather than be overwhelmed by trying to get everything (especially with prices nowadays).
It would have been impossible for me not to want to grab the PS1 games, but like you said you had no idea if they would work for non-japanese players. Such an amazing trip!
Its not a repro, its a ligit rerelease. Theres a difference. A reproduction is a bootleg, this is an official new print run dont in a factory by Strictly Limited Games. If i used a donor cart and loaded a rom on it and printed a label that would be considered a repro. If you go to any reproduction site they are all bootlegs. Strictly Limited Games either buts the rights or works out a deal with the company who owns the rights and does a legitimate production run. Same thing with other companies like Limited Run Games, Retro-Bit, and Iam8bit. I know the term reproduction implies a real production run but in the context of retro video games its just a term small time sellers use so they dont have to call their product a bootleg.

The Go Go Ackman SFC games are awesome, and you don't need to know Japanese. Also add to your list Hameln no Violin Hiki or the Violinist of Hameln. Fantastic platformer no Japanese needed and amazing sprite work.

You grabbed Super Fire Pro Wrestling X you were supposed to grab Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium that’s the better version either way good game also grab when you can Super Fire Pro Joshi Queens Special and Super Fire Pro Joshi Dream Slam these are the better Fire Pro Games for the Super Famicom if you want licensed wrestling games go with the Shin Nippon/NJPW or Zen Nippon/AJPW/AJW games
Digital Foundry made comparison about that The Saboteur and in that case the PS3 version is the way to go. One of the biggest problems in Xbox 360 version is that the anti-aliasing is made badly. There are other things too but if you want to play the better version of that game, get the PS3 version if you have PS3 and want to play the game. And of course The Saboteur is cheaper too because it haven't got affected because of price spikes. Though PS3 store is closing possibly next year, so if you wanna get it now, you'll save money. Of course from a collector point of view, the hardcore collectors get both versions. I do collect myself but I just got the PS3 version without getting it to Xbox 360. Besides, I have big problems with space since game consoles and games takes a lot of room. 😅
Not sure why Minecraft Story Mode has suddenly hit relevancy again, but hey I’m all for it. I already own The Complete Adventure on Switch so I’m glad I get to have this game preserved.
By far one of the best collections out there. Not just in staggering size but how pretty your copies are, also pleasantly organized. It’s an inviting accessory to the house without feeling like a museum that’s hard to walk around. I would be honored to overstay my welcome and not leave your home for days at a time👍👍
After weeks of looking around for the perfect media shelf to fit in a super specific area this was EXACTLY what I needed. I can't believe it's this simple but literally perfect.
-Calvin and Hobbes!! -Fun seeing a Nintendo Power collection with almost all the same spine art as mine! -I've seen all three documentaries on your shelf, and think you would appreciate Indie Game: The Movie. Absolutely worth owning. -Beautifully organized: the space between shelves is just right, the console layouts are balanced with clean cable management, the way you leave room for more games without having giant empty spaces, it's all got a cohesive aesthetic.

I've found that Chubu Hard Off stores are more expensive than Kanto and Tohoku and especially the home area of around Niigata city, but you're fairly close to Shizuoka for the best Surugaya stores in their home area! I often drive that way to enjoy good finds and hope you give them a shot as they are much better for game collectors than Hard Off! Also a bit of advice (to be ignored if you already know), but video recording in stores that do not already have a sign that mentions it is OK is usually not allowed... Being a person who looks foreign in these kind of stores is very different than it was 20 years ago or even 5 years ago... It is becoming a little stressful because of the actions of tourists creating a bad reputation. And also personally, occasionally having my own shopping disturbed (especially in Akihabara) by foreigners taking forever to make shots, commentary, etc. in store and I have to avoid it. I hope people watching these kinds of videos are respectful to not just go into stores for entertainment or filming and to understand it is a place of business and a place where others just want to shop peacefully... Sorry for the long comment, but as a bit of a veteran used game shopper here it is something I'm a bit passionate about. I wish you very well!
I actually had a different experience - didn’t notice signs says I could or couldn’t film. I’m pretty discreet with filming and keep my voice down. I totally stay out of people’s way too. Just about all of the employees I spoke to at many different stores got really excited when I explained that I was filming for RU-vid (some even subscribed)! I went to an independent store later in the trip and the guys there fed me and gave me several beers while I shopped for video games and filmed 😂. I think it all comes down to how you approach it and whether you’re respectful or not ☺️
