A licensed nail tech and lover who buys all the nail related pretty things and shares the bounty with you!
My goal is to teach you how to take care of your nails and your clients nails
I did nails a long time ago and went the corporate America route for a while. I'm back to one of the passions I've always had and want to share things with you!
Would you show us how to pull the cylinder but towards yours on the Big Toe and other toes? Please! The international instructor never took his time to show me the technique but made sure I was book smart enough to pass the test to be licensed.
@@lillianperrine60 Awww! I'm glad to hear that! Welcome to the nail world. Take your time. Don't press down too hard. And make sure to be patient. You're on your nail journey! It's a journey not a race. It takes time.
@@AshleighJane-nd2qx Seriously! If we were kinder to each other. Or, at least remembered what it was like to start brand new, maybe we wouldn't have so many miserable Mary's out here trying to brow beat everybody.
@@selltheworldgames the suction through the hose sucked in the paperwork I was wiping my brush off on when doing an acrylic set on a client. Didn't affect it working. I did open it up and took out the papertowel.
Thank you, great video! Only one I've seen that suggests seasoning or smoothing the bits, which is so useful! What about the other bits that come with the file? Mine has a disc and several white bits which I think are carbide?
Thank you, but you've misunderstood my question. It was about the other bits that come in the pack with the e file - do you explain those anywhere? Do you have another video? @@thenailauthority
@@ellincoetzee8900 Can you send me a pic of the bits you're referring to on IG? It's thenailauthority_ If I don't have a video, I'll make a quick one for you.
I don’t understand how filing the sides of nails after you’ve already used the chrome powder?? If anything I’d think that would make it last for less time.??
@@underrated5210 the best way to explain it is that you break the seal on both sides that are smooth. By roughing them up, then applying the top coat and protein bond, you give the edges something to hold on to. Helps it stay on
I'm so glad I found your video explaining E file Bits. I'm learning to do my own nails and I bought an E File. Thank you so much for explaining each bit. Im getting a wee bit better. But I would like to ask how many Rpms should I use when backfilling with builder gel? Should I have it high or low ? Thank you.
When backfilling on the natural nail, I don't exceed 5,000 rpm. If it's on the acrylic, hard gel, biab, or polygel, I won't go higher than 13,000 rpm's. Now, if you're using the sanding band, it's going to heat up so be careful that you aren't pressing down too hard. Hope this helps. Just take your time.
I swear it's an obsession! Plus, they all do different things. Some keep the white on a pink and white, white! Others go well over soft gel. It just never ends! Gives me excuses to buy just a few more.
Just got into Gel X and let me say, your video was a LIFESAVER! Whenever I'd look for forums or instruction on using the "cheaper" bits, people would go on and on about how "you shouldn't use...too low quality..." But I refuse to spend big bucks on a e file/bits until I'm certain this method is for me! Thank you for your clear explanations and showcasing the affordable stuff!
This! Can you tell us, should those diamond bits be the ones to use on your natural nail? I have to do a fill and I just want to make sure I understand so I don’t wreck myself! Lol
My gosh I’m so happy I found your review I have just bought this exact starter kit I’m a beginner and you just helped me out so much!! I was practicing on my husband last night and wondering why it’s not really taking much off !! I had my efile too low for these starter bits. I’m about to practice on myself today removing my nails and doing a fresh new gel manicure. I’m ordering me some better bits! Thank you again my dear 😁😁👍👍love and Godbless
You are so welcome! I'm happy it helped you. Make sure not to press down too much. If you need to press down a little much, it means the bit is dull & you need a new one.
Aww thank you. I try to stay a generally happy go lucky person. Life has thrown us all into the boo boo pool at times. But, you can get up stronger and sell manure! I appreciate you taking the time to respond. It means a lot to me
Try the mandrel bit with the sanding band. You want to make sure the efile is on a very low speed, like 4-5,000 rpm. Go slow and don't press down too hard. You don't want to burn your nail. Make sure to run the efile only over the tip
Thank you so much. You were super detailed and how to use each bit. I just subscribed and I can’t wait to see more of your videos. I just purchased my new E-File, liquid gel, brushes, nails and a whole bunch of fun goodies. You are absolutely amazing. Thank you and I will be watching more videos.
Thank you for showing us how to use cheap drills/bits that we would just be starting out with and taking into consideration that we just have what we have and might be all we can get. I really appreciate that.
Thank this help a lot and I’m just starting with my poly gels. This help so much because I did not know which one to start my prep work, so it will stay longer when I begin my poly gel on my nails.
This was the most helpful and to point but explaining so we can understand when not being a tech.. these look great and I had no idea switching base colors had such a huge difference..I mean I knew that obviously they would be different but this is awesome ❤.. thanks for sharing.. new sub as well too I didn't get bored watching 😊
@@thenailauthorityI definitely will let you know when I get to try that was my comment on my daughter's iPad she's one so mom gets busy.. but now I need to sub from my phone.. I love your energy you kept me interested... what's the number of the file I should use please ❤
Brilliant! Thank you for your experimentation which saves us doing 🙏🏻👏🏻❤️ Never really knew what to do with it 😂. Blooming gel works best with gel polish BUT you need to give it time 🕰️ to develop (I’m impatient 😂). Ink best with the alcohol and I’ve learnt less is more with the ink. I might bring them out again after seeing this and see what can be done. I do recommend painting very fine lines of base coat like a marble effect going down at an angle then cure. Apply gold leaf and brush off the excess then top coat. Adds another dimension and bling 💎 of course 👍🏻🌟🇬🇧
