Thank you for the demonstration, looks like they just did an update to 4.07 and looks like cant log in now, do you guys know if there something I need to change?
man, I never had contact with LINUX / UBUNTU but following your clear instruction I managed to install and run on PC - WIN10. looks great, Tnx a lot. 73 de E71AL
Excellent! I bought the Invato bundle and couldn’t get the thing to work with any monitor or tv. Just kept shutting off. After screwing around with it for three hours I followed your instructions and had HamClock on my pc in under 30 minutes! Thank you sooooo much for this amazing video!
Thanks for your great video on setting up hamclock on windows. I have successfully installed hamclock and gotten it running! Unfortunately, after rebooting, I have not been able to figure out the correct sequence of commands to relaunch hamclock short of following the entire install sequence again. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Wayne KB0JOS
In the cmd prompt window .. type in wsl sudo hamclock and then enter your password.. it wont show you typing the PW then press enter then you should be able to go back to the browser and get hamclock
Wondering if anyone has live streamed Hamclock? I have a Inovata Hamclock and its amazing. My buddy ordered one and I was going to try to use a webcam to take still pictures every 30 min and upload to him (Probably to a dedicated email) My brain is coming up short and I feel like I'm over thinking it. I'm a Mac guy BTW
Thanks for the guide. before i start, does it use a lot of memory? I have a fairly old pc running all the logging and wsjtx etc etc. is it likely to grind things to a halt using this as well?
Another colossal waste of time screwing around with Linux. I installed Ubuntu in Windows. I copied and pasted all the commands to download and unzip hamclock etc, and Ubuntu returned syntax errors. My God.... working with Linux is like pulling teeth.
Thanks for this updated version of your original video. I tried following the instructions in the original, but just wasn't able to get HamClock to run in Windows. Your updated instructions worked perfectly.
Verson 3.07 upgrade broke my network. Your video information does the job. Thanks for the help. It was working fine. Now I guess I will be starting over with another installation.
Tried to setup a username and password but it doesn't like the username and I don't understand the message it's giving me. Please enter a username matching the regular expression configured via the NAME_REGEX[_SYSTEM] configuration variable. Use the `--force-badname' option to relax this check or reconfigure NAME_REGEX.
bishohki@Zoie:~/ESPHamClock$ make -j 4 HamClock-web-800×480 make: *** No rule to make target 'HamClock-web-800×480'. Stop. Im getting this error, how can i fix it?
The hamclock user contrib page was very useful because the last few commands made it work. The last few commands from the first instruction page did not work. Thanks.
Dustin, you are a great hunter! 😀 New subscriber! I always appreciate your energy on-the-air, keep up the great work my friend 😁 Enjoy that burger, yummy! 73 KJ6ER
I get to the cmd line, enter the command and get a message that reads '' sudo: hamclock: command not found''. What's broken? It doesn't run from a browser either.
New subscriber here! 27 years as a Technician, with plans to upgrade soon to General, at least. I am just now getting into 10 meters. I recently bought a "new to me" rig, a Kenwood TS50S. Just got it hooked up in my shack yesterday. I spun the VFO a bit and found a frequency that didn't appear to be in use, so I asked if it was in use, and I got a booming reply of "Yes." Being the gentleman that I am, I politely apologized and bowed out. I wish I'd asked him for a signal report, but I wasn't thinking. After switching to another frequency, I didn't get another hit at all before having to go to bed (I work night shift). Hopefully I'll have better luck today! 73, W4AQX
Urgent help if anyone knows please!!! when I try to open hamclock in command prompt I put in my password and it goes back to c:windows\system32> like nothing was typed in so guess it wont start, any idea how to sort this out any help would be greatly appreciated.
When typing in the PW it will not show up and when enter is press it will do nothing on cmd prompts .. you will need to open the browser up and 127.0.0.1:8181/live dot html... also watch the update video I posted as well
Holy Flurking Schmitt, I have HamClock running in a Chrome browser tab on my Win11 machine. You have no idea how much of a technical victory this is for me... something I have wanted to get working for several years now. And ... there it is. Thank you so much for posting this video, it had the final pieces of the puzzle that I needed to make this happen. 73 de BJ, KM4RB
For the people that the windows wont open. I had the same issue. when you open UBUNTU there was a message that I needed to upgrade some kind of Microsoft thing. I did the upgrade and it worked. My only problem now is I'm stuck in 800x480 resolution. And no matter what I do I cant change it. So the window is tiny.
Thanks for the video but as with others, I get to the final step using the WINDOWS 10 Cmd Prompt and then nothing. This is driving me crazy! Please please help??
This WORKS Great! Only issue is that when I run "wsl sudo hamclock &" frothe CMD PROMPT I get message "sudo: hamclock command not found" .... Any ideas? other then that works AWESOME!
