I can't believe it took me 2 years to find this awesome video! Perhaps if I had seen it earlier, I'd be out of gold league, lol. I'm subbed now so I'll be looking for more content from you, Thanks!
Sorry man. I got really, really busy with work and moving. I haven't forgotten about this channel but it's hard to commit time to it. Also youtube stopped paying me since i haven't uploaded in 90 days. (youtube sucks lol)
I know it's a bit outdated, but this really helped me and my friends to avoid rushes. We're all low-rank players and aggression is often hard to do right. But we manage to work well together. Thx
You should have moved vills to farms as they spawned to increase the life of your sheep under your TC. In the situation where you are being attacked early you can move your vills from the farthest farms back to your sheep under the TC but if you use up the sheep faster as you do here, you lose that option in addition to wasting precious gathering time on the farms.
We are new players trying to play ayyubid/english duo in 2v2 and can't work out a cohesive strategy/synergy because he wants fast castle but I'm more skewed towards feudal. Do you have any advice for a strategy we can practice executing in most games? Eg. Both FC etc.
True what others have said - This Four-Part Masterclass Series has been nicely done - Short, yet informative. Love how you broke up each class into short videos. I am not new to RTS (play a ton of COH) but new to the Age of Empires series. I simply hope that what I am seeing as a click-happy game is not so intense as constantly slapping the mouse or keyboard. And, hoping for less than COH, which isn't too bad.
Why are you saying you don't need to be fast to play this game, when all I saw you do is click like crazy everywhere? Are you implying that later in the game you slow way down? Otherwise, this is simply a click-happy game.
Well what applies to me doesn't apply to anyone. I am most comfortable keeping my apm higher. I've tried slowing it down but it doesn't feel right. There is no universal rule as to how people "should" approach the mechanics of the game. :) hope that clears that up. Been seeing this comment often recently
@@iNcog_AoE I hope I didn't sound rude. I was simply curious to know if the game in general is a high clicking game; I guess that is called "APM"; I have not heard that acronym before. Otherwise, thank you for all your videos on AOE IV, I am learning a lot from you. For now, I click about as fast as I would in, say, COH games, which appears to be slower than what I am seeing in some AOE IV videos!
No rudeness at all. Enjoy the game, aoe4 is a good RTS to play. :) some of the best players in the game are quite slow. check out don artie's excellent channel: www.youtube.com/@Don_Artie/videos
What do you think about flipping the Age up? Culture and then Eco? Just curious about getting 8 vils vs 3 but maybe the payback time isn’t effective cause your tryna rush out some ghulam and manjaniqs. Lemme know!
You'd have to trade the tempo of the build for better value out of the extra 5 villagers. I see it as the tempo is sort of key and you already have a "good enough" eco. hence the reasoning
This is the slowest strat i've ever seen in my life, I'd have been better using my time watching a Dehli strat than this, are you a gold 1 rank? This is the most pathetic video I've ever seen, I mean you're playing a fucking Ai...........
This really is a great video in highlighting just how important it is to keep tack on your res and produktion, ando also how "easy" it is. After I watched this i went into a game against AI and tried it myself. Was surprised at how much higher supoly I had early in the game!
Gamer! This looks similar to some old school strats I love it. Is there a reason we want the ghulams here instead of spears? Spears being cheaper so more mango's + nice to have the counter to cav
gamerrrr. well the idea is that ghulams/maa are tankier than spears and don't have an easy counter like spears do. so you can make a few of them, make your opponent deal with them and then go for spear/mango thereafter. I just like how disruptive heavy inf is
Thanks for the video! So does that mean when a unit has f.e. 5 or more armor and it gets attacked by a unit with 5 damage, that this unit deals zero damage? Or is there like a minimum cap of damage, assuming 1 damage?
Thanks for the build! I think everyone is going to put Feudal pressure on Byzantines to punish their Aqueducts. So I think about delaying Aqueducts until I can get to Castle and invest into production and units instead of mining stone. Good to see you returning to the game.
hey good to see you comment again. I'm a bit busy so the return to the game isn't fully there but I have a ton of interest in aoe4 still. had I more time, I would make more content and play the game more. it's worth doing so. alas I'm studying right now
