Golden Chain tree and Golden Rain tree are two completely different species. Golden Rain tree flowers in mid summer and produces "Chinese Lantern" type seed pods. I believe it is non toxic but VERY prolific.

Beautiful Nila. There are some beautiful dogwoods in New Westminster from white to deep pink. I used to love enjoy driving Cambie on my way home enjoying them and the cherry trees!
Thanks Sandi, yeah, there are so many beautiful varieties of dogwood trees all throughout the Lower Mainland. Even though we are already in July I still see plenty around.
