I had a 7’ gopher snake living in my cabin 2 yrs ago when we first got it. I was pulling out the kitchen sink cabinet and my son on the other end dropped it and ran out the door. After he was outside he said snake. I ran like heck out the door and caught a glimpse of the tail end of it. After calming down a bit I moved the cabinet some more and it slid into the bathroom. I went outside and made an opening and chased it out with a large stick from inside. It sat outside staring at us as we continued the demo. It had created a lair to trap rodents in the cabinets. A week later we saw a smaller one and then last year we caught a glimpse of both of them together. This year we haven’t seen them at all but I did spot a nice red racer a few weeks ago.
Isn't that Vandenberg AFB in the direction of that jet stream ? You do have a few places for snakes to hide. That old garage door would make a roof and sunshade. Just have to figure a way to keep it from flying off.
I've always wondered if areas that are desert could be reclaimed into woodlands, jungles, and farmlands by covering them with solar panels to make it harder for water to evaporate. Let in just enough light for plants to grow. Would something like that work?
@@GBear I read that solar power during the day can be used to extract moisture from the air at night even in desert regions. I'm not sure the quantities but maybe over a few decades it would eventually act as irregation system to bring life back to deserts. I read Saudi Arabia has successfully reclaimed thousands of square miles of desert.They didn't do it with solar but I imagine it would be easier given the advancements in solar the last few years.

Hi G Bear. Yes dogs do have a distinctive bark to different things. My dogs are very territorial. I recognize their bark for human near the vicinity , human in the immediate area, dog passing by, dog in the immediate area. As for the UFO I'm sure it's a man made UFO because of the smoke trails. An out of this world UFO only leaves a streak of light as it travels. I've seen it only once but good enough to convince me it was not from here. It was three orbs traveling in sync as fast as one person can move their eyes. Extremely fast and no noise. Freaked me out. Snakes well got them here too unfortunately. Have a safe night G Bear.

@@GBear why as a farmacist of course, but seriously it will pay for itself awfully quick I hope. and a little update to your sledgehammer solar alignment video is in order if you make the “sledgehammer ”, the same length or width of your solar panel. The length of your shadow is the exact size or length you need to raise one side of the panel to achieve the perfect angle for the day and time of your measurement no fancy math or tools needed more complex than a piece of string. 😎
