We're Kate 🇺🇸 and Gustav 🇿🇦, a married couple living in the city of Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭
Our story kicks off right here in the heart of Bangkok, where work and traveling brought us together as teachers at the same school. Since 2021, we've been planning adventures, exploring South East Asia on motorbike, and jungle trekking/hiking through some of the craziest places we've ever been. AND in March 2023, we finally tied the knot right here in Thailand (eek!)💍
We want to bring you along on our trips as we do our favorite things in South East Asia, which is hiking in the jungle and hopping on our motorbikes in the most beautiful areas. We hope our channel brings you inspiration in your travels and maybe a few laughs as well.

I knew a Thai girl that could eat a whole durian. I prefer longans over lychees and rambutan. Lychee has this rosy smell to it, not my cup of tea. The best bananas are the ones that grow in the wild, especially in S.E.A. If you spot one in the jungle, cut off that purple inflorescence and fry with some egg. Yummm.
We ate a whole durian the other day and felt so full😅. The wild bananas are delicious, you even sometimes find seeds in them😃. But tbh I love rambutams and lychee, but the Asian Guavas, Persimmons, and Jack fruit are our favorites!
Good advice on riding in Thailand. You will notice ZERO police on the roads, except for a few money-grabbing checkpoints. It's the wild west on the roadways!
Highway 118 is the fastest way to Chiang Rai from Chaing Mai, but several side roads have more twists, turns, and views! Thank you for driving responsibly and for wearing helmets! What app are you using that shows the direction, elevation, speed, etc?
very good video this road, I know them completely. I have done it about 100 times because I have lived in Chiang Rai for 18 years,, and when I go to Chiang Mai to the French alliance, I take this winding road, .three years ago, they completely did the road and in Thailand. When they do the roads it lasts a long time, I will soon make a video as I changed my motorcycle I bought a triumph Bonneville 900, I will wait until the monsoon has passed to undertake this video. I registered with you if you can do the same that would be nice. A-RA-N

It was an incredible journey. Thank you for all the work you did flying and editing! Wearing helmets is wise advice, as so many tourists zip around in little more than shorts, a T-shirt, and flip-flops! Roads in Thailand are scenic and DANGEROUS!

Good video. But for a long trip, you should wear safety clothing. Such as safety gloves, safty boots, safty pants and jackets. Not ensure 100% for safety but those gears will reduce your pain and loss when any accidents occure. Safe journey.
Rambutan also getting squeezed 😂 For rambutan, u need to hold, or spin it clockwise and anticlockwise , that will tear it up without any juice squirting 😂
@@K8andGustav sorry man, that's not the correct way because you can either break your nail especially if you are dealing with not just one of that fruit, or at the very least you'd be accumulating deposits under your nails rendering them ugly and unclean. Never use nails to open any fruit, be it fingernails or construction nails. Simply use the balls of your fingers of both hands to press gently and gradually near the top tip of that fruit, it will open up

@K8andGustav not all noodle dishes are Chinese. Look at the muslim portrait/painting behind you while you were eating. You were eating in a premise which is not authentic chinese eatery. Therefore, not chinese food. Maybe you can identify it as malaysian fusion.
You don't have to like the durian. It's an acquired taste. Even some of us Malaysian don't like it. Heck, even half of my family members don't like it... heyyy... more for me then i say...😂
@@K8andGustav they were even using external mics, but they were wireless, so maybe their batteries were dead, and these types of mics are not exactly cheap…
The most dangerous part of driving/riding in Thailand is the local drivers who ignore traffic rules and safety themselves as well as safety of others. Just bought a new Honda CB500F (Hornet); it's more exhausting riding/driving in Thailand than in EU or in U.S. I am sure in other countries, i.e., India, Bangladesh, might be worse than in Thailand..
Nice vid.n David, in Thailand it is NOT 'cool' to walk around with bare feet; in fact it is inappropriate. Apart from Monks do you see Thais walking without footware? Just saying.😅 Enjoy and be safe.
