Hi! Come in, put on your slippers. Tea or coffee? Make yourself comfortable and feel at home. There are a lot of interesting things about creating video content for social networks and business
That's pretty cool. Not that expensive either. I'm still waiting for Apple to add a small screen next to the cameras, similar to the size of the front screen on the Osmo Action 4 and GoPro Hero 12.
if I was going to record a video on 4k and the monitor is laggy, would it affect the Iphone camera's video? meaning if the monitor is laggy in while recording on the iphone in 4k will the iphone video be laggy as well or would it be still in 4k but the only thing is the monitor is laggy but the iphone video wont be laggy
Hi! I just tried to record a video in 4K 60Fps with a connected display and everything was recorded well without jerks, although there were strong delays on the display. But I can’t guarantee that in your case everything will be ok.
When I try to use the Blackmagic App in Landscape mode, the little screen flips to portret mode. When I use the standard camera app of the iphone in landscape mode, the little screen als shows landscape mode. Is or are there a specific settings in the blackmagic app that prevent te little screen to show landscape mode?
@@AlexYasni84 This action rotates the sceen 180 degrees and not 90 degrees. I hope this will work in the near future...I don't know if it;s a bug or what it is that causes this. Thank you for your response and I enjoy your videos a lot!
This is really useful, and I have never ever seen any such device for mobile. VERY useful even for talking head videos at home. If you get up from your seat and move around, using your whole camera rig can be quite a pain. I'd rather have a slightly different color grade after switching from Sony A7IV to iPhone15 Pro Max than dealing with that hassle.
If it's to check if the shot is in frame then the iwatch can do that although a small screen. The bigger screen has it's pros especially for those looking to make the most of it. Great review and product!
Love this! Been interested in something like this since seeing Sony's proprietary secondary screen and have been looking for solutions. What I've found: 1. My first workaround was to use screen mirroring apps like APowermirror. Which work fine in most cases, but running third party apps on top of the camera app make both phones run very hot, and connection isn't always great. 2. Some camera apps will allow you to monitor out via wifi to other phones. Filmic Pro allows this. But unless you have a legacy account like mine, Filmic can be pricey. No Blackmagic yet for Android, sadly. 3. There are several OEM level applications: Apple has this feature as standard using the watch. Xiaomi allows you to now tap and and control via screen mirroring between tablet and phone. Huawei allows you to control cameras directly between phones under EMUI 13 and 14 (oldest phone that currently supports this is the 2019 Mate 40 Pro), the bonus of Huawei's system is you can control multiple phone cameras from one unit, though serially, not simultaneously. All of these solutions require you to have another phone or device - and in the case of OEM solutions, you need a new phone or device with the updated OS, which is much more expensive than this screen. And none of them are as handy. My only concern here is the lack of USB-C to USB-C video feed, which would make the screen much easier to set-up and power. But it looks like a neat little time saver for vlogging if you don't already have an OEM option and an extra (small) phone you can rig up in a similar manner.
Thank you for such a detailed comment! Before I found this device, I used to display images from an iPhone camera on a laptop screen, there is a review on my channel
This device is awesome. I use it regularly. Here some tips I learned that others haven’t mentioned. - the video is not mirrored when u use back camera. It’s not like you can see ur self in the mirror. It’s the opposite of what u doing. - use cheertok air mouse to easily control the iPhone from far away. Save me so much time from going back to iPhone to change mode.
Hello my friend!!! Thanks for the video. I didn't know about this screen, and it could be a good solution. But in my opinion, it's a bit expensive. Okay, you make videos about filming, videos, etc., and you must know your stuff, but I have to congratulate you on the good quality of the work in the video. You deserve more subscribers. But I understand... I have the same problem on my channel. I'm already subscribed. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Apparently you don't realize that many people DON'T use iphones??? It would have been very handy if you had included that this was ONLY for iphones somewhere in your description.
@@AlexYasni84 I understand that you said it in the video. However it would have been helpful when deciding to watch your video if you had included that in the title. I was looking for a method that would work for an Android phone and had to watch your video to only to find out that it was not what I was looking for. Great way to get your watch numbers up I guess...
I have an apple watch 6, it's not convenient, sometimes can't see the camera view, so clearly not...right now after seeing the video, If I knew that solution to have a screen behind my phone exists, I would maybe didn't take the DJI osmo pocket 3...
@@SoulySwiss oh 6th gen huh.. its understandable since that was like 4~5 years ago. And apple is known for phasing out old devices. damn Apple. It works flawless for us or at least me with the recent version.
I made a video about this topic. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z-50AO32_as.html Am really glad to see this innovative product. Good show!
Great video Alex. Here’s some feedback: 1. There is minimal lags when using the Beastmagic cam when recording in 4K. 2. You can use an external mic when using the device for better sound quality. Beastmagic allows me select the audio sauce of preference so this is easy. 3. Battery life is not so fantastic but I use it mostly for framing. If I’m heading out, I take a power bank Hope this helps….
Thanks for your feedback! Yes, of course you can use an external microphone, I didn’t say that, I thought it was already clear. The operating time is normal, it is best to set it to minimum or medium brightness to work longer
