@@keyboardemperor3540 It's so true! We wonder if it's the conditions they have to play in and that they are used to no touch practices. Once they get on these teams, it's probably a breeze 🌬🤷🏽♀️... but what do you think?
Bula from Fiji. Nice videos. Village visits often bring tears of joy to those unfamiliar. One of the greatest experiences a tourist may ever have….even for a Kaiviti like your hubby. Cheers and vinaka
What a beautiful experience. Thank you for sharing this. I lived in the Pacific as a child and hope to return there this autumn. Your videos are inspiring. X
The 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture in Hawaii has begun! While spending time with family, I got to grab some footage of the days leading up to it but had to return home. If you have some time and want an educational experience on the islands of the Pacific, check out this video of the entire opening ceremony (and fast forward the slow parts to get to the islands you want to check out): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ARNkXzPyzpc.html What islands do you want to see represented? 🇼🇫🇹🇻🇰🇮🇫🇲🇳🇺 🤔
was that the driveway to Scotts, I use to work there in the late 90's, I met and worked with and came to contact with. Thank you for the driveway picture. it the reflection in my life.
Vinaka Ed&Lex..Great tour,..the Museum looks refurbished with modern features, but still holds value to tradition & culture...miss that sunset in Sigatoka...aww my Coral Coast..you Beauty! Vina Valevu
The museum was fun. I was told there used to be more historic pieces there, but after the coup much went missing. I don't know how accurate that statement was but we were glad to finally explore a Fijian museum all about Fiji! - Ed
the song is "Rui Totoka" (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OZQUsS0jjpY.html) and it's being sung by Nicolas Smith from the band, Chapter 5 (facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090204111431 or instagram.com/chapter5fiji/)
Thank you. I had a psychology professor that said, "Love is like a garden: when you tend to it, things grow; when you stop taking care of it, things die." Interestingly enough, the bible describes love as a verb (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). It's been plenty of work and we're still working at it 😆 -Ed
FYI : The Fijian blood thru science supports the history that you read at the museum. If you google: DNA admixture of the Fijians….. It will say Asians and 30% Melanesian. Polynesians also have some Melanesian in them. Fijians are Polynesian because they speak the same language as the Polynesians ( austranesian language) and their blood shows it . Fijians are the original Polynesians.
Only Melanesians and south east asians which include Austronesians have the highest percentage of Neanderthals and Denisovans dna than any other group of people which shows how ancient they are even older than Africans
Melanesians Aborigines and East asians which includes Polynesians and Micronesians are closely related and have a higher percentage of Neanderthals and Denisovans DNA which is older than Homo sapiens.
@@edandlex sure did, Vatukaula is my dad’s palace of birth. We spent a lot of time visiting family there. Love your vlogs , bring back memories of home. Vinaka and big lolomas

I realized after commenting that you had taken pics at Greig street in Suva . I do remember your house was the last one in that row of houses and one of your neighbors were the Mullers who are our cousins. My name is Frank Bing and we lived towards the end of the dead end road that branched off towards the river up from where your house was. Our immediate neighbors were the McGoon, Osborne, Lockington, Wye. Thanks for sharing your trip to Vatukoula as it brought back fond memories of our very simple but happy life growing up there. I now live in U.S.
@@bingof123 I'll definitely share this with my dad so you two can connect 🙂 We have one of our Fiji videos driving through Vatukoula and passing through where my dad grew up. -Ed
Wow, was he really a Petueli? I lived with a John Petueli in Seattle, Washington for some time. And we visited his brother Ernest in Nadi. I wonder if they're all related. -Ed
