Please make some more longer videos if you can! Or videos about clouds!! I have your books and i love them, but it would be great to listen to a video and get more real life examples. Especially incoming weather and such. Take care 🙏
I am an Earth Science teacher who was today years old when I learned how to really read a tree in snow! You, sir, are too ingenius! I was noticing only a few thousand are subscribing to your channel. I feel like I have found a true treasure in the midst! Sharing your channel with my students will be a joy this year so continue to keep the teachings clean, Thank you!
Don't quite get it. You see you're at the edge of the woods and therefore you're able to read the clue in the trees that you're at the edge of the woods??
I believe he is saying that typically there is a rule that the longer, more horizontal branches can be used to determine which way is South. However, that may not be the case here because this tree is on the edge of a woodland, so it is likely to have these horizontal branches so it can reach out into a more open area. So he's saying you cannot always rely on the rule; you have to take it into context.
Could I use this daisy footage for a music video clip please? See the demo at the end of this clip. Thank you! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VSuwZPhPi0M.html
Huge fan of you work. I've read "lost art of natural guidance" and I was in awe. I love to camp and bushcraft and had no idea of most of what you taught me. However, I'm from the south hemisphere (Brazil) and I would love some guidance over south guidance and plants. But your videos now give "visual hints" onto what have been mostly words. I have been taking my notebook and trying to take notes over sunlight, air moisture, which plants were there. Would you reccomend me some guides to know plants names? Even tho I live and grew in Brasil, the "cerrado" biosphere is very diverse and have an infinitude of plants. Thank you so much for this new type of knowledge that I've found myself in love with!
Love it sir!!! I learned land navigation in the US Army in the late 60s. After getting out of the Army I spent many years hiking & backpacking into the wilderness. I carried a US Army compass & 2 backups. I carried rolls of maps in an aluminum tube. Not many people can do this these days.
Man you're amazing. My father loves nature, spends most of time in mountains and forests, but he realy hates technology and smartphones :D With these books of yours, he'll finaly be able to predict the weather, know cardinal points and so on without the need of pesky tech gadgets that he can't use!
Really enjoying these videos and am currently reading through your previous works. Thank you for keeping this knowledge alive and passing it on to future generations!
