This channel is about filmmaking, photography, gear review and behind the scenes. I create product videos, commercials and tutorials on video and photo editing.
I did my own testing on A7RIV. With 4-shot version the contrast got better but no resolution improvement. The 16 shot version showed visible resolution increase. It is worth it in studio work where you shoot stationary product shots with hot lights. TBH, 61 MP is so much that you probably don't have to go to the trouble of pixel shift. Same thing was true with my Pentax K1 that offered 4-shot pixel shift. I did a few tests with the K1 too but never used pixel shift in my everyday photography.
I used some Neodymium magnets and 3M double stick tape to make them magnetic. One on the top and one on the bottom on the flat spot on the plastic housing. Haven't had any issues with them falling or the adhesive coming off.
Hola!
Does the A7RV allow a speedlite flash on the hot shoe to fire when focus bracketing? If so it would be an interesting camera for insect photography with the 61mp sensor and the 90mm macro, especially for being able to crop in so much.
I have an iphone 14 pro 128gb. You mention I can only achieve 4k at 30fps using prores due to space. However can this extend to 60fps if I hooked up to an external hardrive? or is this limited to only iphone 15 users?
Did you check to see which formats include a high resolution embedded JPEG for previews? I noticed uncompressed raw doesnt' include that..but compressed raw does. I didnt check if the lossless ones include a high resolution jpeg
This is just plain idiotic. Who needs 240Mp??? 60Mp is already too much and sensitivity is suffering. Sony A7s III could have made use of this feature.
Cool, thanks. Do you know if you can easily set it to go back-and-forth orbit for the interview? I guess yeas but I would like to double check before buying ;)
I've just got a 1. First thoughts on halation: need to keep exposure down and really important to edit. Pulling down highlights, while lifting exposure and shadows to compensate significantly reduce halation effects.
Cool video, well done ! If the battery dies outdoors can the F100 keep going at full brightness with a common USB-C powerbank , or it needs a 60W Power Delivery type powerbank ? Also is it magnetic ?
i have a A&III and i think this is a good blueprint on how to start grading with a corected picture profile for beginners to advance ...i usually use PP7 and 8 but now seeing this i will give this a try becasue i like the natural state it starts with a little dynamic range and shadw detail
I guess I just have pretty bad luck, bought mine on Ebay (new) and it came out with a broken joystic base. After balancing and calibrating it with the 6 side calibration, I attempted to use it, but the horizon axis was rotated left like 10 degrees with the default position, so every time i double clicked the trigger it brough the camera to the rotated position off the horizon, when left alone, it started tilting the camera up slowly by itself. Had to send it to the factory for warranty, as the AH Ebay seller just ignored me, the shipping to the factory costed me 1/2 of the gimbal price because I'm outside of the US, and now the courier is having issues delivering it to the service center in CA. :( so frustrating.
I’m just getting into this functionality for my A1 but my application is a bit unique… I want to shoot images of Stage Scenery and project it onto large screens… LARGE like 20 foot by 40 foot screens! (Need a $20K projector at 10/20K lumens!) Possible? Like large photo prints, the projected image doesn’t need to have commensurate resolution because it won’t be seen… up close. But How close is close enuff? 🤔
Hi... is there an option in A7CR to auto review settings to 5 or 10 seconds to avoid pressing the button below... So after taking the image to camera goes direct to review mode....My old a7R3 had this option... but i cannot find it in my new a7CR... THX
yes. But only the A7 series can. The A6700 and the A7Cs use hybrid shutter and mechanical shutter is impossible in a7c, also on a6700 beyond 1/4000. You really can't freeze action in 1/4000, as it is the lowest speed to shoot wide open aperture at iso 1000 on a standard sunny day.
Thanks man. The only problem i found doing this is that the final merged image after the focus stacking in is so huge and its almost 1.5 Gb. Any solution to bring this down. I am trying to upload pics in shutterstock and other stock websites. But this big size file is not allowed to upload.
