I have a black 96 bb2 si 5spd I personally swapped @213k miles with h22a1/m2f4 obd2 conforming "VTEC" swap and a 2001 EBP SH 5spd stock 140k miles. Love them both. 4th gen takes the cake for me
there was a refresh in euro models in -99 and after that they had 200hp unlike the 1996-1998 that had 185hp and that 158hp is mispelled on the second one
@@AaroKo I think he meant the 2.3 from the 4th gen Prelude. The first one he pronounced as 2.0 vtec. That is a non vtec engine :) Every one is tuned...
@@TimV1987 I'm not 100% sure if I got your point though but : the cluster on second clip is from 5gen and they had 2.0 130hp nonvtec, 2.2 h22a2 with 185hp and 200hp h22a5 options (in europe) and 4gen had same 2.0 nonvtec with 130hp, h23 that is also nonvtec 160hp and h22a2 185hp models :)
One question, Have you put the factory 0-100 time for info? Because the time it takes for the cars in these clips to get too 100 is much less than what you have written on the screen. For example sport 1.4 tsi in the clip took 8 seconds to reach 100 but you've put 13.5
well..............the 106 Rallye had 2 versions ,phase 1 had the 1.3L 8v ,and the Phase 2 the 1.6L 8v ,and dont ask me how but the 2 engines had the same power ,the only difference is the torque ,the 1.6 have more torque than the 1.3 Edit : more precisions : the 1.6 8v 103 (in the Rallye phase 2) is derived from the 1.6 8v 90, mounted in several versions of the 106, including the XS phase 2 version and the 1.6 103 was mounted in the 106 XSI phase 2 too if i'm right its the same engine as the 106 GTI, but in 8v instead of 16v like in the GTI but i'm not sure of this also back to the 106 Rallye, in the video it was a phase 1, with the 1.3 8v, which is exclusive to the Rallye phase 1 unlike all the other engines showed in the video (well this is also half true for the 1.6 16v which was mounted only in the 106 GTI among the 106, but was also mounted in the C2 VTS if i'm right)
I disagree... however, while I find phase 1 very appealing, I see the triangular headlights of the phase 2 as a misfit to the rest of the design. But that's just my personal opinion, to each their own. I had been driving a classic Mini (and nothing else) for more than 30 years, when I suddenly fell in love with the RS 172 phase one.
