That first spot you were at was a great area of the lake some big bass in that area . Needed to punch and flip those ccattail reeds and pencil reeds. Also behind you the water got deep. Next time also when you leave ramp head straight out to about 18 feet of water and carolina rig with a big worm 9"+
Does you hear the pumps engaging when you hit up or down? Try to update the firmware via the app. If that doesn’t fix it. Call power pole, they are truly amazing.
Pretty solid for its size. Certainly not the comfort of a 21 footer though. Of course, speed and navigation abilities play a big part in your comfort level but I’ve have it out in some sketchy Okeechobee weather before and she’s up for the challenge any day, It can get rough but safety never a concern.
I run an aluminum Vexus. I’d describe it much the same. Get blown around easily though. And there’s no question. As good as it is for aluminum. Glass is just more comfortable absorbing impacts
Actually was just thinking about doing a comprehensive 5 year review. Stay tuned. The boat has been flawless other than minor cosmetic issues. Replaced trailer bunks once but overall trailer has performed as it should, no major issues. Don’t believe all the negative comments you may hear. It’s an awesome rig and I have NO regrets. If anything wish I had more wallet so I could get a bigger one ☝️
@FillALimitFishing I hear ya. I been looking to buy a new boat, and I have been looking at the z18. I do tournament fish, so having a big enough livewell for myself and a co angler is a must. Do you think the livewell is big enough for 2 limits. I live in Florida as well, so I know these limits can be around 25-30 sometimes. I'm sure 30 gallons is enough, but I wanted someone's opinion. Thanks again.
@@JesseMcMillanFishing I’m in FL too. I weighted in 29 1/2 pounds last month on the Caloosahatchee River, all 5 alive. I did use both wells though, had 2 in one and 3 in the other. 20 pounds in each side no problem. 30 pounds in one side would be a little tight I think from experience but I’ve never tried.
@FillALimitFishing yea, well that helps a little. I think even if you had 28-30 in one side for 1-2hrs I would assume they would be okay. All day from 7am idk.. but than again, if my co angler only had 1 or 2 small fish I could always throw my biggest on there side.. I look forward to watching your new review if you do one. Thanks alot.
I don’t know if the camera could hear it but I didn’t hear any drag. Just pulling that hard is gonna make your line snap. When dealing with that big of a fish you should always take your time. Almost got it tho. NICE 👍
FROZEN WATER BOTTLES!!! I USE A BIG ONE, AND... I INSTALLED A THERMOMETER WITH ALARM SET TO 85 THAT WILL ALERT ME THAT I NEED MORE COOLING!!!!! ALSO..... I HAVE A SEPARATE "STONE BUBBLER" ON ITS OWN BATTERY JUST TO MAKE SURE IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG I HAVE A BACKUP!!
Looks lit might have to get that. I’ve fished my whole life but I’m finally starting to get into it and it feels overwhelming with all the different lures and jigs and whatnot when I was a kid I would just cast with no worries and catch fish with ease.
100 percent. Makes the frog much softer and assures better hook up ratios. Some frogs on the market are stiffer than others, regardless I do this with nearly all brands on the market.
What does Santee Cooper look like in May as far as vegetation (are the pads up yet)? Also is the spawn over and are frogs effective? I'm from Michigan and planning on going there in a month. Great video by the way
Never a bad time to go to Santee bud. May is good. Pads and vegetation will be up and lush where it hasn’t been sprayed to death at least. Unfortunately out of our control. Frogs will be money. I would keep that sucker in my hands a lot. Hope you catch a pile of bigs!
I did a lot of my damage on isolated cypress trees and pad fields in April. Fish as many as you can. I haven’t been back in 2 years, hopefully the emergent vegetation is making a comeback. That’s where I liked to fish and it worked for me.
Watched your video a few weeks back. I called Roy at Wacky Riggers and he suggested the Power-Pole Pro Series II for my needs. Transaction went flawlessly and items were received in short time. The installation went well, however, one of the pumps wasn't working. One pole would deploy but not retract. Spoke to Roy again who made a call to PP and they overnighted me a replacement pump because I was leaving for a two week trip to Florida in 2 days. Installed the replacement pump and it worked perfectly. Having the power poles on my boat made my trip more enjoyable in the shallow waters of Florida. My hat is off to Roy for being so kind and helpful.
