This is Surge and welcome to the Soul Surging channel where we bring back the memories. I have always been an avid fan of pop music ever since I can remember. My love for pop music was ingrained in me when I was a child. I used to hear songs played by my Mom, Uncle (who gave me my first record player), and Lolo and Mamay (paternal grandparents). I look up to them with gratitude and fondness as my music influences. I actually wanted to be a disc jockey when I was in my teens just so I could play my favorite songs but never had the opportunity to follow that dream. Nevertheless, I did not lose interest in music even when I was busy with my banking career and continued to be a record collector. After so many years, I am now embracing the chance to share my favorite songs through the RU-vid platform. I hope to be able to give my valuable insights and share my personal experiences with these songs I grew up with, songs which shaped our lives, songs which are music and food for the soul.
I appreciate your feedback. I no longer employ the services of the previous editor due to a professional and financial dispute. Unfortunately he deleted the original templates despite the fact that these services were all paid for.
Jeff Lynne seems to me to be able to knit Mozart (called the "mother of music" by some Asian people/described to me by South Korean taxi driver) and Beethoven (same taxi driver described him as the "father of music") into songs.
Hello mr soul surging I have an opinion about your latest video, I still think this is a better template for your videos. The Audio and quality here is smoother compared to your latest upload. You should go back to this old template of video creation.
Salutations and good morrow kind sir I just noticed with your recent video, what happened to the audio of your voice? Your audio was much more clearer in this one. Did the new setup came with a new mic? Please use this mic it's better. I still prefer this version of your videos it's more simple and relaxing.
Hello Callen! Are you referring to the reaction video for I’ll Be Over You? Before posting, I always review the videos and I checked it again. There was nothing wrong with the audio. We’ve used the same mic for the past year.
Ooooh, another great song by Peter Frampton! In 2017, Frampton discussed this song while talking to lawmakers in Washington DC about inequitable revenue payments from streaming music services like iTunes and Spotify. Peter stated, “For 55 million streams of Baby I Love Your Way, I got $1,700. Their jaws dropped & they asked me to repeat that for them”. IMO, that’s just wrong .. 😮
Hello Soul Surging .. Back in the 70’s, saw Peter Frampton open for KISS with Cheap Trick at the Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles!! 🤯Frampton was so good that I had to purchase FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE immediately! No internet, so I walked 100’s of miles in the snow to purchase that album! 😆 jk It’s probably one of the best live albums in rock history!
Hey, Peter Frampton was also in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band -- along with your favs -- The BeeGees! Those four were the best thing about the movie. Check it out. There are clips all over RU-vid! It's a silly fantasy but fun!
Thanks so much Thomas. Yes I saw that movie. In fact I have the Blu-ray copy. Very enjoyable movie. My brother and I saw that in the cinema. Female fans shrieked. 🙏🙂🎵
Sergio, I'll give you an idea how popular this song was when it was released. When it was released in 1964 the Beatles had already established themselves as the greatest thing since sliced bread! Every radio station was playing wall to wall Beatles music all day long. There was only one other song which grabbed the attention of music lovers in the Country and that was Barbra's recording of 'People'. We would flip to different stations on the radio all day long to get a listen to 'People'. She had already been performing on Broadway but, without question, this is the song which zoomed her to the top! So that was 60 years ago and I believe Barbra could still belt out a version of any song you wanted to hear. Yes, one of the greats of all time.
Thanks so much Robert. When I was growing up, People was a very popular song being covered by local artists in the Philippines. I know Barbra dared to be different and held her own against the British Invasion. 🙏🙂🎵
