Just a quick question, I just bought mines and they come just like yours, with 5 holes in the center where the lug nuts are, but I see other people with the same model 57dr and they have 10 holes or 10 counterbores in each wheel, you why is that? Thanks
How on earth do you hate a system where you don't have to find a second latch under the hood to open it. And you hate that? That is the stupidest thing I've heard in a while :D
Stock ecu has the ability to cut boost. Either via boost cut limit/load max cut. It could also be cutting due to knock. All depends how your car was tuned.
Finally found a video example with these wheels thanks for sharing. I was thinking about getting some for my world rally blue brz, but i think I like triple chrome better.
How loud is the turn down compared to a straight piped V8? I've heard complaints about "loud" but I've been running straight piped V8s for like 20 years and never felt it was too loud (for me, fuck neighbors lol).
The turn down sounds good but it vibrates the cabin a lot. If I were to do an exhaust in the Supra again I would just do the Afe takeda straigh pipe with the pops turned off. To me that sounds the best…it’s a nice deep aggressive sound. Similar sounding to the 2JZ imo
The city really killed this event. It was an entirely different experience 15 years ago. RIP the dude that exploded on 29th St the moped that Got hit by the CTS-V, etc...
My comments ~Nick: Says inside the supra wasn't as exciting as inside the fk8 (5:45) --- My comment: For the price, the type R always seemed to have racer/sporty seats punching above it's class. ~Nick: Says type r seems to be a better back road machine (2:48) My comment: Agreed, I've driven 400 hp automatics. The fk8 feels very agile/lively by comparison.
Hey, do you happen to know how your friend got his evanturi intake to fit on the 2021 gr supra properly. I have a 2023 and the place where the box sits isn't connected.
What downpipe do you have? I am running same setup with a functionwerks catless downpipe and 3.5" straight pipe all the way back with 4" tip and it doesnt sound like this. However if i put in my 4" axelback it WILL sound like this just not in all rpms.
My clutch is slipping I think .. almost 90 percent sure it was my clutch. My car is a 21 and has 17 k on the clock . It has a Catless downpipe . Intake intercooler and hondata basemap … has anyone had this issue?
Appreciate the video very much! The type R is plenty fast in a straight line and in the curves, plus it gets great gas mileage and can stop on a dime. The type R is a great all around package for its price point. Ive had my FK8 since 2020 and I was considering my next car could be a supra. But after watching this video, maybe it wont be the car for me. I might have to get a used 911 since it has a backseat and is more about the driving experience. But who knows?
