They are neat, but don’t produce the power potential. It made 75 hp more with a high rise intake and single carb. But the dual carb is more period correct.
Very nice looking car, and it sounds fantastic. Yes are making some good NA Power. And it's a street car, because I seen your ride along video too. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow this car looks like it pulls insane!! I’m working on my 69 chevelle and want to get it to this level. What power was your car putting down in this video?
People get this confused because of the 700-R4. The 200 isn’t the same nomenclature. It is actually a 200-4R. People that say 200-R4, 200R4 are incorrect.
Really depends on what your intent is with the car. I tell the converter guys what i want to do with the car and let them decide what stall is best. But typically yes you want a stall somewhere around peak torque for racing applications.
Great ride. Back in the day and still today your mother in law is a 12. Someone better have hold of her and never ever let go. I used to have a $$396 . Miss that old girl
Mine started to go off by it's self so I had to just cut the contact wire. It's a wood wheel and it looks really cool but I may just get a stock GTS wheel in the end lol
I haven’t watched this video in a long time and I forget how much it makes me smile when I watch it. That’s my dad and his sister in the back. Her husband was in the front who was being quite the character 🙂
This was truly open headers not through the cut outs. The cut outs quiet it down a little bit but it’s still loud. Also, you need to have a really healthy motor to make them sound good through cutouts. If you put cut outs on a stock-like engine, it’s just not going to sound that great
@@clinteg yeah I wouldn't be able to run open headers here in the uk on the road haha my engines a 408 stroker, what sort of power is you 417 running ?
@@jamstermtb6331 well it is illegal here too 😄. Car weighs about 3400 with me and has run 128+ in the 1/4 mile so that should give you an idea of the power it’s making. I’ve never had it on a dyno.
