As for me, I have to take the following things into account as to who is responsible for the mess of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: 1. 90% of the Pokémon community wanted a game with better graphics instead of stable gameplay, and they got their wish. 2. Both Nintendo and Gamefreak openly apologized for the condition of both Scarlet and Violet. 3. The Pokémon company has been very cocky about their response concerning both Scarlet and Violet. Based on the following, the only ones who are to blame are both the 90% of the Pokémon community, who are kids who know nothing about video games and the Pokémon company. I've been playing the main series Pokémon games since 2004, and to this day, I still can't with good faith recommend both Scarlet and Violet, and because of the condition of both games that is why im no longer buying any new Pokémon game titles. I don't like the current dangerous rabbit hole that the Pokémon company is pushing, and I was hoping for the usual from the Pokémon company, which was stable gameplay.
Have to agree with pretty much everything. Playing through the game I did find some enjoyment but it was constantly marred by the absolute horrible state of the game. Every time I found some joy there was always the thought of "I wish this game was made better". When I finally finished the game it was like "wow, this game would gave been amazing if it wasn't for it being such a dogshit deadline slop" I was just simply angry, sad, disappointed, but not surprised. While I don't have any shred of hope for future games I am fine replaying the old games. Besides I've been getting the monster taming experience I wanted from games such as Coromon and Nexomon, great games those are, I recommend them along with Cassette Beasts to anyone seeking actual good (and way less costing) monster taming games. Playing such games it dawned on me that if GF can't deliver I'd just have to do it myself. I was already going to go into game development and design before playing SV but my god the negative experience of playing it made me decide so.
Your simile game was crazy this video. People clown on Super Circuit a lot, but it was genuinely a nice improvement over Super Mario Kart, and you can play every Super Mario Kart track in Super Circuit. It practically invalidates the first game lol.

The only I mean the only modern Pokémon games I have actual fun with is Pokémon ORAS, USUM, and PLA. And your not gonna roast Megas like that, because they have actual heart and thought went into that mechanic unlike Dynamax and Teras.
I would LOVE if they made an HD2D style game (like Octopath Traveler and Live A Live for example) with the 3D buildings and 2D Pokemon. Imagine the shadows and how beautiful that would look!

Unless you're playing a shooter game or online multi where 60 frames actually matters, complaining about 30 frames is a weak argument compared to series of problems these games have.

It was/is one of my favourite games. Played it through 3 times. Once on X-Box 360, and twice on PC. It's definitely flawed, but it's overall fun. I think it would make sense in DD2 if they add an update where you can get an Eternal Ferrystone in NG+. At some point it's just too tedious to use ferrystones and carts. I mean, at least they DO have carts in the sequel/remake.
Definitely the worst most disappointing open world. I say disappointing because at first, you hope its gonna be good, then you see the tiny scope of it and realize you're gonna have to trek back and forth this dull land for dozens of hours and fight the same old shit over and over again. Dark Arisen was the game's saving grace. Without it, its the best worst game ever made, like its baffling sequel.
dragon's dogma 1 is the most overrated game ever. terrible story, decent combat, mid graphics, uninspiring open world. only thing cool about the game was the pawn system. all these casual gamers praised ddda because the demand was so low, thought they were special to play the game. but now dd2 is out as a mainstream game all the flaws with the game have been made public from the get go and people got to witness how terrible dragons dogma actually is.

Unhinged, uneducated, and inexperienced take. DD2 is just the step down if anything. DDDA is a naturally fine PS3 title. By the lack of any substance in this take, adding "These casual gamers" or whatever doesn't hide you in an "experienced gamer/critique" disguise. It's you, you're the casual gamer.
Unfortunately you were incorrect about the leveling system in regards to vocations, the vocation you have set when leveling up determines stat allocation for that level. So for example if you played exclusively as a mage for the first 100 levels of the game then switched to a fighter, your physical damage would be severely lacking because all of your levels until that point will still be locked towards boosting your magical attack stat. The vice versa is also true.
compared to DD, Oblivion reads like a badass fantasy bible. I have no idea what Dragon's Dogma is going for, its like they didnt give a shit about the story and lore all that much.
The fan disappointment has never been so widespread and exigent as it was this time. And yet, they won't course correct at all. The next game will STILL just be a bit further on the downward slope they've been on. They're laughing, cuz they're serving us crap and know that we'll keep paying for it.
One thing that frustrates me is that whenever I try to criticize this game on twitter, a lot of people come after me saying that I'm "complaining over a kids game", and they act like I am a big bad bully. And then of course, they proceed to do the same thing that they tell me to stop with other games (which is fine, but it is hypocritical) I just want this franchise to do better quality wise, and kids deserve better.
I'm also a 50-year old Fortnite player. If there is a bush I usually take it for checking map, awaiting the next circle to unfold, healing etc. But I also blatantly kill people from bushes. The thing is all those sweaty players complain about others not playing to their strengths. The game is designed the way you can play many strategies. Worst one would be playing to your enemies strengths & not your own. There's no way I would win buildfights against 20-year old sweats. I just can't keep up with their speed & mechanics. So I play to my strengths & make it to top-10 maybe 50% of the games. I do usually loose final 1v1s, but that doesn't really bother me. Making it there: looting, hiding, exploring, running from the storm & taking random encounters has already given me plenty of enjoyable playtime. But when I win, it just feels all the more so satisfying.
i am a VERY "sweaty" player and i might not be so relaxed about it, HOWEVER, i have fun learning, and since i am older...i try my BEST, and continue to try my best not to let the stereotype that i cannot do crazy things, or learn them happen. But i still have fun, -you could even say it is like this guy!!!, it was not long ago that i was a bush-camper who did not know 99% of the thing i do now, and that is fine, as long as i have fun. I admit i do whine over things and get frustrated (at myself, especially if i cannot figure out HOW to do some crazy thing) but i...i love it, it keeps my mind fresh, and young... i have a goal, and a purpose, -i don't JUST like pooping on the whole lobby, i like proving that i EARNED my win, and it gets harder and harder when people get better and crazier, or with me: my mistakes...my inability for my hands to STOP PRESSING THE WRONG ORDER, or to BE fast enough...i WILL do it. doesn't matter if i am a girl either, i will smash what i believe i can't do, or what my age might not allow me. i always love to respect people who i can tell are just trying to have fun, and i am not opposed to letting an off-spawn opponent get away and have a real chance... ALWAYS the most fun when we can face-off in the end in a glorious battle of the surviving! and have that cinematic moment of the friends becoming "enemies". i just don't get people who are TOO serious, and who LITERALLY don't have fun, and who don't think, or...have a purpose, other than...whatever they are doing at that point. i get bragging MAYBE, but still, it's no fun if i can't laugh or be goofy during a match. if i get ABSOLUTELY merked by something crazy, -like this guy, i LOVE it, it's hilarious!, but i guess some people...maybe don't want to "see their KD go down"...-known a guy like that once...it was so sad, he could ONLY play with his "good" friends for arena and stats...lame!. i am happy when i see someone enjoying themselves fully like this guy, and i hope people can understand me too, it's fun to go goofy or go crazy...maybe even both!. Funny thing is that this is my FIRST shooting game, and...ANY sort of thing like this...i didn't have the internet until 2015, and i didn't play this until like, 2019, and so i am WAY behind on ANY sort of rapid-pace skill younger people would have gotten, even from playing other games...i struggle SO hard to grab onto such "normal" things, and i take longer, maybe with my hands not being accustomed to anything remotely similar... yet i prevail, and i am CRUSHING, and i am learning to be really good, despite my disadvantages. i used to be outside for 7+ hours a day when i was little and i feel sore easy from playing and i get sick from frame-drops...and as mentioned before...MY HANDS!!!!!!!!, but i fight!!!, i fight and i am winning!!! (well, maybe this season currently i took a hit, for last seasons STUPID movement change messing my mind up, and the meta sucking). But...yeah people can find meaning in all their activities, what matters most is if it is fun and fulfilling...what can be a waste to one, is not to the other, the only waste is time spent hating what you're spending time on. (unless it's genuinely a bad thing, ofcourse lol)
I mean yeah everyone enjoys winning but I mostly just play to hang with my friends. I remember my friend was having a tough day and I was like “well for a moment nothing else matters except us getting destroyed by these pc players” 😂😂
My dad is 65 and really enjoys playing Fortnite. We used to play for Honor on the Wii when I was little, and when he saw me play Fortnite he wanted to try it out. He's been playing it for years now and he enjoys it way more than me. It's kinda sad though because he sees me playing with my friends in call and wishes he had a squad of his own :/
