would love to see 1996 Sampras vs 2006 Federer on a grass court. Every set would end in a tie break

Agassi was definitely afraid of Sampras. He had this eternal complex. That is why he couldn’t play his game especially in latest meetings. He mentally lost. Plus of course Pete was a much better player (serve, forehand, backhand, volley, everything). Look at the game with Federer very same season on grass, how the latter illuminated Sampras where he was almost unbeatable through decades…

Melzer is super super underrated. He was top class, and consistent for many” years especislly in ATP250s. Idk why there are no highlights videos of him. It’s like he’s forgotten.

By the French Open that year, Rafa's serve motion changed. He no longer used his knees to kick the serve.

I read John Feinstein's Book hardcourt in early ninties. Book says Agassi is not a good person. I didn't pay much attention. Over the years it made sense. Even today if you type Agassi, Videos of him show up disrespectful of Boris, Pete. Good athletes let their game talk, not their mouths.

I don't think people realize how big a loss this was for Federer context wise. A win would have resulted in 6 straight USO titles and more importantly Roger would have held all 4 majors at once assuming he won the 2010 AO. (09 FO, 09 WM, 09 USO, 10 AO etc...)

I think that if Hewitt had the firepower he would have had more majors under his belt. He had all the shots, the movement, the mental toughness and the focus already in the bag.

Federer 04 played on a fast court at us open. I feel djojovic would be okay on a fast court too. Nadal never won a major or even got to a final on a fast court. Djokovic played fed at us open 2007. When courts/balls played quicker
