@@srwilson3s2k14 Ah dear that’s a bit of a shame, part of me thinks that Wilcomatic will end up patching it up as something remarkably similar has happened to a Primus at Sainsbury’s in Kettering (pictured by CarWashesUK05). Ideally a new system would be better as this one is at least 14 years old now. www.flickr.com/photos/185325492@N03/53927947242/in/dateposted/
In all honesty, I didn’t see much point in filming another bog-standard rollover with a pretty bog-standard colour scheme, so I think venturing out to Wakefield to film this purple Aquarama was definitely an excellent choice indeed! If it wasn’t for the car wash map I would’ve never even known about this system!
This one is a C164T the standard C164 doesn’t have a tilting dryer and I believe it was also a different model which was discontinued when the C164T was introduced as a replacement, I may be wrong tho as I couldn’t find much information on the original C164 model.
Great video mate. I like WashTec with this colour and it’s well cleaned as well. Also I am also visiting this car wash at the weekend too lol 😂 as people as picked it from the poll. I will take some photos as well
@@carwashestvchannel1685 Rontec’s EasyWashes are far more striking than those that have been installed by other operators. This one actually did a really thorough job for £10, so I’d deffo try it out when you get the chance. Just to give you a heads up Tom, I’m going to be taking a break from RU-vid for a while given the amount of videos that I have uploaded in the past 6 weeks - I have a very busy work life. However, if the Primus at Hillsborough eventually gets replaced with a second hand Varius, I’ll be sure to visit it whenever I can! Keep up the stellar content mate, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing your version of the EasyWash. All the best!!
It’s great that we still have a working swing system Ceccato in the UK but its a shame it doesn’t fully work anymore, the side brushes used to swing at the front and back of the car but don’t anymore I’m looking forward to visiting this Ceccato Aries myself soon. What are the prices for the programs? I think I remember hearing that the top wash is £4.00 but I’m not sure.
@@CarWashesUK05 Programme 1 is £4, and programme 2 is £5 which was the one that I purchased. Yeah I also noticed that the side brushes didn’t fully swing / retract at the front and back of the car like it would normally do, but despite that and the dryers not working, it was still a mesmerising experience for me!
Didn't know this car wash was still in the UK. A lot of them in Ireland were mostly removed. Replaced or abandoned. I look forward to checking this video tomorrow
@@Irishcarwashchannel. If you are part of the ‘Carwash’ group on Flickr, the two admins actually made a car wash map of the whole UK which this appears on. While it appears that Logan no longer uploads on RU-vid, he was the first guy to discover this Ceccato for himself - the Streetview is really outdated so it was rather difficult to tell whether it was still there at the time.
Oh, OK, interesting. I didn't know that. I'm just completely shocked that it's still there. Hope it didn't do any bad to your car getting washed. Because when it's there for so long. The system starts to. Act out a little.
Late comment but can I just say, this is probably my most favourite video of yours (so far 😄) The rainbow lightshow on this new Easywash against the dark is sensational. I had the pleasure of using one of Harvest Energy's new car washes down south at Godstone, Surrey. keep up the good work mate 💪
@@mojfever7169 Glad to hear that you enjoyed this one Mahdi. It was such a mesmerising experience to use this EasyWash at night, watching the lightshow while the system was operating was almost like magic 🪄 Thank you very much mate, all the best 👍🏻
Great video mate. It's a bit shame about no high pressure pre wash prior to brushing as well but other an that it was quite good. I saw WashTec van in Asda car wash mending the car wash this afternoon.
@@carwashestvchannel1685 Yeah, it was a bit of a shame that there was no high pressure prior to the brush wash but the wash and dry itself were pretty good so that makes up for it. The EasyWash at Asda has been out of service numerous times over the past few months, and considering that there is no longer a kiosk at the petrol station anymore (pay at pumps only), I suspect that the staff aren’t keeping an eye on it as regularly as they used to when there were still drive thru kiosks before the 2020 rebuild.
@@carwashestvchannel1685 Thank you mate. I thought it would be better to visit this EasyWash at night, given that you have already filmed it during the day. I think whenever I next visit a WashTec with lightshow I shall film it at night as the whole experience is absolutely electric 🙌🏻
Great video mate! Congrats on passing 800 subscribers. I definitely need to revisit that Prevo in Oakham and film it at night with the top was program.
@@CarWashesUK05 I didn’t even realise that I had 800 subscribers, it has been that long since I uploaded a spree of videos 🤣 Glad that you enjoyed this one Dan :)
CarWashesTVChannel’s version of the exact same Christ Alpha is now out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nafZlY6X-S4.htmlsi=yde-AhNjkgk1Ioir
Amazing video mate. I thought everything was great with foam and brushing was awesome and drying was perfect. I also filmed this car wash today as well lol and got the same wash as you which it was the best christ system I used in a while. Video will be up later.
@@carwashestvchannel1685 fancy that, you’ve uploaded a video of the exact same system on the same day as me lol. Well, I actually filmed it on Tuesday this week just gone but I decided to premiere it for the weekend. In comparison to the Cadis I used the other week at Morrisons (personally I wouldn’t bother if I was you), this was miles better!!
Another great video once again. I thought it did amazing job once again. I thought the foam was excellent and brushing was brilliant even with polish foam was awesome and the drying was good as well. Thanks for another great video mate. I'm hoping to do Tesco in Abbeydale for my next car wash as people voted on poll.
@@carwashestvchannel1685 Certainly did a stellar job for £9 so I am not complaining at all! The wax and polish were especially brilliant and left a nice scent on the car. I was gonna say as well, the Alpha at Abbeydale is actually one of my upcoming washes to visit relatively soon, but that all depends on the weather and if it improves as the week progresses.
Great video mate. I thought the wash was brilliant I just don't understand why it has to go to entrance during High pressure pre wash and drying. I couldn't believe how empty Crystal Peaks was and Petrol station when you filmed it. other an that it was a good video.
@@carwashestvchannel1685 Thank you mate, glad you enjoyed this one 👍🏻 The reason why the system goes all the way to the very end of the rails is due to issues with the photocells, normally these should detect the front and back of the car so it knows where to stop before the return pass.
@@PatchhTV You’ve hit the nail on the head mate. I’ve always thought that Sainsbury’s’ Primuses were far more consistent in terms of the wash quality, as apposed to their Varius, Centus and Genius systems which replaced the vast majority of these. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏻
The last blue Primus in the UK! The brushes look so nice, I can’t wait to film this myself in a couple weeks! This will be the first car wash where I plan on trying my new improved video style as well. I hope when I film this one I don’t get security called on me like in Huntingdon 😂
Nice video mate! I have finally planned my Sheffield Car Wash trip which I will hopefully be doing in 2-3 weeks. I will try and visit the new Tesco Christ Alpha on Abbeydale Rd as it doesn’t look too far from the Primus.
@@CarWashesUK05 Thank you pal. I’ve actually been thinking about trying out the Alpha at Abbeydale (potentially my for next video?), but navigating that part of Sheffield is a real pain especially if it involves driving through the city centre 🫠
Great video as always. the foam and high pressure pre wash was terrible what i seen. I would have got refunded if I saw that happen on our car. I thought brushing and drying was great as usual. There is a WashTec SoftCare Pro Classic at Jet in Stocksbridge that has lightshow just like Shell in Doncaster and Gulf in Barnsley. Can't wait for Crystal Peaks video tomorrow.
@@carwashestvchannel1685 Oh aye absolutely, thankfully this was just the gold wash but even so the high pressure and foam (or water to be more precise) was absolute shite - I was almost having thoughts about cutting the pre wash out of the video as it was so disappointing! The brush wash and dry were both pretty good though, so it sort of made up for it. I don’t want to spoil tomorrow’s video by any means, but put it this way…. The 14 year old Primus up the road did a far more thorough job than these newer Christ systems.
@@carwashestvchannel1685 I haven’t been up that part of Barnsley for a while, but I just know for a fact that both yellow SoftCares will have defo been replaced just like the one in Mexborough was.
At first I was doubting I’d be able to use this EasyWash because by the time I arrived at the Jet garage (around 8pm) the kiosk staff had locked the barriers leading up to the entrance, but after asking them what hours the car wash opens / closes, they were pretty lenient and told me to reverse in and pay for a program at the contactless terminal. Happy days! Ideally I would’ve preferred to go at night as the lightshow experience would’ve been more spectacular but such as life, it was still worth trying out!
Welcome back on RU-vid, and with an absolute banger of a machine! Fantastic video mate, and those red brushes - at a Morrisons of all places - look sizzling hot in action. I might step up to do videos one day 😂
Nice little surprise for you mate, bet you were not expecting me to return to RU-vid! I am glad to hear that you enjoyed this one 👍🏻 Considering that you’ve captured some absolute bangers on Flickr, I can see you doing really well on RU-vid should you ever wish to go down that route one day 🙂
Nice! I hope we see more of these at Morrisons in the future, it’s great to see more videos from you mate! I’m considering going up to Sheffield to film the last blue Christ Primus in the UK hopefully it’s still there and working, I also plan on visiting the new Christ Alpha in Mansfield.
I think this was just a one-off replacement rather than something we’ll potentially see more of, but I agree they look absolutely dapper! I have actually been considering on going up to Crystal Peaks to have a look at the Primus, and if it’s still operational I could do a video for you if you’d like that? Can’t make any promises just yet due to time and work, but I have been considering it because the quality of the video from 6 years ago when I last filmed it was absolute shite haha.
@@carwash2202 Sainsbury’s Crystal Peaks and Gulf Patrington are my two main priority car washes this year as I don’t see them lasting much longer especially the Primus, I’ve been wanting to film a blue Primus for ages which is why I went to Sainsbury’s Rowley Regis and was extremely disappointed to find it had been replaced with a standard Christ Centus.
@@CarWashesUK05 The Patrington Gulf garage is about a 90min drive away from me, and I am considering on nipping down one day to see if the Ceccato Aries is still operational.
Thank you pal, yes it has been a while hasn’t it. I’m hoping to film a few more as recently there have been a couple of new installations in my area, but that all depends on time and the weather. All the best!
Another great video. I will be testing it out soon at this Morrisons Catcliffe for myself. Nice to see you filming again. I will be filming some new Car washes that been installed this year at some point. After I film Morrisons Catcliffe I will open the poll to you guys can chose one. I always film a car wash like every 2 to 3 weeks.
Thank you, I’ve been meaning to do a couple of videos again. I’d defo try this new M’Wash out as soon as you get the chance because it did a superb job!
Nice to see a video from you again mate! I tried to film the EasyWash at Shell Peterborough the other day but it was broken, I visited 4 car washes that day and they were all broken.
Thank you. Shell car washes seem to have a bit of a reputation for being out of service, but that’s so unlucky to find that 4 of your local washes were all broken. I’d be a bit miffed about that too!
Quite likely seeing as the SoftCare in Mexborough got an EasyWash last month. The Istobals in Mexborough and Wath are still there I think, but I’ll be sure to have a look soon.
This car wash has been replaced to WashTec EasyWash in Grey It was about to be installed as a lorry was there and they was getting ready to lift Yellow WashTec I did take screenshot on bus of it
The installation will be commissioned by Friday. I did try getting a photo of it being installed but think I’d be better off revisiting at the weekend when the engineers have finished.
I went pass this car wash yesterday on the Main road heading towards Tankersley. It looks like its been removed but not sure as I only see a tiny bit. Also Shell in Tankersley now has a new roof for the car wash like other Wash n drive ones.
I think it’s still around at the moment as I passed it not too long ago actually. For all I know you could well be right as at some locations MFG have really gone full grim reaper mode on some of their car washes. As of Shell in Tankersley, yes they have built a roof over the wash bay which is a very typical thing for Rontec to do.
