@@mercys1727 tbh with you it depends on which location you’re working at , some don’t let you have your phone, headphones, chargers, nothing at all ,! But the one I work in New Orleans they let me have my phone, headphones idk I see a couple of people who have headphones so not a guarantee but possible
im on my second week and im an unloader for night shift 10pm-3:30am, the training days (first 2 days you are in a classroom, 3rd day you start on the floor with a training buddy) are easy so atleast go to those to get some easy cash and feel out the vibes of your facility. gonna definitely be sore but they cut the new guys a little slack. the training is good, they show you things multiple times and its a fairly simple. if you dont like it, quit, there is no harm, lots of people in my training class had even quit 3 months prior and came back. now is a good time to start since its cold at night so its way cooler in the trailers, and its right before peak season so you can adjust before things get hectic.
also side note im at one of the biggest hubs in the country, place is massive and processes over 2 million packages a day so its probably a lot harder where im at than the majority of places, so if i can stick with it you got it for sure, if you stick with it its worth it, pay is great, benefits are great even tho some you have to work there for awhile to get the full benefits besides the student loan programs you are eligible for those on day one.
Thanks so much for your video. I just finished orientation right now too. I used to work for OnTrak and we had 2 people per trailer. One person on each side of the conveyor belt . I remember How much BLACK DUST come out when I would blow my nose in the shower. and I did that work for $8.50 an hour back in the day. Peace out and good luck out there.
