I have this previous version with the auto locks next to the hydraulics, one problem after problem after working flawlessly for a year. Went through three solenoids, two auto locking tabs one lower rev limiter. Still dealing with facetime customer support for at least two months now. Wish they would just replace it already this is getting old. Almost forgot the left side is higher than the right side told me to drive vehicle on left side only and raise lift to equal it out. Tried that 30 times to no avail.
@@Humberto300zx Turns out I had a broken wire coming out of right side metal pipe in the harness. The only good tech is Kebong if you get him or ask for him he has the accent.
Just discovered this lift yesterday, but I couldn't find any information on the lift points per lock. I ask this because I'm working with a 8 foot ceiling so that last lock will not be utilized.
Whats the point of this lfit? not high enough to stand and high enough to not sit/lie. Also seems like a pretty bad design, there are some kind of wheels on one side. whats stopping the wheels from rolling and collapsing the lift?

This video is ridiculous! The weight on that lift cannot be 115% of rated capacity! I have tried it myself with 95%! One side of the lift was 4 inches higher than the other! This is fiction! Either that or I was sent a faulty lift. Either way Stratus has yet to do anything about it. I will also add my own video of that exact lift With an 8400 pound skid steer that will not lift it. If my list is the exact same and will not lift an 8400 pounds machine, how is it supposed to lift 10,000 pounds for them?
Just wondering if this test works cause the weight is only on the lift and not hanging over any of the lift like a vehicle would be. I have the 9000 xt havent tried my 3500 megacab diesel on it yet.
@@stevenlaubach7222 Don’t do it! I can send you a video of what happened when I did my Cummins heavy duty diesel! When I went to lower it, one of the locks did not disengage. They claim it’s capable of lifting that kind of weight, trust me it’s not! My truck slid off to one side and I had to somehow managed to get it off between my heavy equipment, and jacks and chains etc. It was a total nightmare! Please save yourself the headaches especially if you don’t have that type of equipment to get it off
@@stevenlaubach7222 furthermore, this video is total bullshit! I have a track loader that weighs 8600 pounds. I had both of the two 9000 pound models, neither of them could lift the machine and I resize the 2 inches into the ground. They wanted me to try to start at 1 foot off of the ground basically losing an entire foot of lift because it would have to be recessed an entire foot to be ground level to start. Unfortunately you already bought it you’re stuck with it, because they did send me another Lyft because obviously they knew I had a serious case, but when the second lift could not meet capacity, I had to dispute the charge on my credit card and I won Because I had conclusive evidence not only that it could not lift the weight it was rated for but that I had tried all efforts to resolve the matter amicably and was met with nothing but resistance and defiance. Horrible company!
@@stevenlaubach7222 I definitely wouldn't try anything over a half ton pick up. I have the Aston 8k midrise and a half ton crew cab is the most I dare to lift with it. I like it don't get me wrong, i have mine anchorered down too. When I do get a 3/4 ton of 1 ton it don't go on my lift. Personally I wouldn't put it on anything less then a 10-12k lift. They say to only exceed 75% on the lifting capacity. So a half ton is perfect for a 8-9k, I plan on getting a 12k for my next lift.
I ordered the 9000 extra-wide extra high commercial-grade lift, my first time using it I lifted my Dodge Ram and when I went to lower it, only one of the two locking mechanisms disengaged, my truck preceded to lower on one side and then fall completely onto that side on the support bars. Obviously, this was a catastrophic failure, and I will say that the support did send a new lift promptly, but upon receiving it When I first used it with the bucket of my skid steer in order to test it before putting that much weight, it was doing the same thing with one lock not disengaging. This was the 9000 E, then once we resolved that problem after speaking to tech support the other problem was my skid steer weighs 8400 pounds which is under the weight capacity, I noted this to the support team before our FaceTime call, during our FaceTime they gave me every way to troubleshoot why it was incapable of lifting 8400 pounds when it is a 9000-pound lift. Unfortunately, this type of lift needs to be recessed into the ground in order to lift that weight because if it is not 12 inches (because it is 4 1/2 inches to start and needs to be raised 8 inches to take the weight) then it can't lift much of anything. I did my due diligence, I called and spoke to the owner, read all spec sheets, etc. and this is NOT mentioned anywhere and is not advertised anywhere, and really should be because after doing all of the work to modify my space to accommodate this lift, it was all for nothing because This lift cannot do what it's advertised to unless it is recessed 1 foot into the ground, at that point the 40 inches that it can go up becomes 32 inches. Making every single number that they advertise false! Also, I would like to note that trying to lift the weight of the skid steer (8,400lbs) and having the lift raised about 6 inches before starting to lift with the weight, one side of the lift (closer to the control tower) was four inches higher than the other! This happened during the facetime call while I measured on video with a tape measure! Another dangerous situation. I do not think these lifts are safe at all, and after speaking to Technical Support the second time about this lift having a similar issue to the first one, and showing all of this on facetime, their response, after me having offered to share the shipping expenses with them to send back, and pay the difference for a 12,000 lb 2 post, then accommodate that lift again by digging again to install 6'' thick cement with rebar as I did for the scissor-type lift widening it for the larger width of the 2 post lift, they were going to do this and told me how much, to which I agreed, but then suddenly they didn't have any more in stock? (Even though Richard from the company assured me one would be put aside on a recorded phone call, and the website says "in stock ships in 1 day"), they somehow didn't have anymore? Then when I found another lift from another company as an alternative, they wanted to have me pay for all of the shipping expenses and a 30% restocking fee for a lift that never functioned properly from the first time I used it! Furthermore, I had a 20-minute conversation with the owner prior to ever purchasing the first lift describing my intended use for it, and whether or not it was capable of handling it also on a recorded phone call, during which I was assured that it could handle it. Obviously, that was bad information and I could have lived with all of this and been fair in making it right, but I was not met halfway clearly, this company really does NOT stand behind their products. I am trying to depict the actual events, and facts to the best of my ability in order to inform future buyers. I only wish I had seen a review like this before my purchase. Currently, my attorney and credit card company are handling this as my efforts at an amicable resolution were futile.

The 200mm starting point for capacity ratings is not exclusive to our mid-rise scissor lifts, it is the industry standard. The skid steer should have never been a use case for this lift. We take your claims very seriously as it seeks to undermine our promise to customers that our lifts are exceptional. We cannot take fault when the lift was not used correctly. Our shipping and return policy clearly states for what the buyer is responsible: return shipping and a 30% restocking fee. @@stratusautoequip Wow, that sounds like towing the company line if I’ve ever heard it! If you read my post, I’ve already acknowledged that you did send me a replacement lift promly., But that lift also failed before I ever lifted anything with it! First the locking mechanism was flawed, that issue was rectified, but upon putting some weight on it it could not lift 8400 pounds unless it was 12 inches off of the ground including the height of the lift. That was never mentioned prior to buying this lift, Or I would have accommodated for that or made a different decision at that time, I personally spoke to the owner discussing exactly what I needed to use the lift for, exactly the weight I would be using it for, And personally verified static testing dynamic testing and weight ratings and capacities. I was assured this lift could handle it, obviously it cannot since this is my second one, and it has not lifted anything except the bucket of my skid steer by itself. 1000 pounds! You are not standing behind it because you sent me another one, I have been requesting the shipping label to send the first one back since the day you agreed to send it let alone sent it or me receiving it, still have not received that label, the new lift which you all saw in our FaceTime was 4 inches higher on one side than The other!! Is that industry standard? Because that’s what made my first experience happen with my truck hanging off of the lift! As far as the damage on the first one, I sent thorough photographs of broken welds, bent support bars, and complete destruction with my truck hanging off of the lift. If there is anyway someone could mistake that I would love to hear it. I will be posting my own RU-vid video of this encounter. Thankfully I recorded it, so all of the RU-vid viewers can see what they are in for with Stratus. Unfortunately even after being very reasonable and offering to share the shipping costs, as well as paying the difference for a different lift and packaging up both lifts meanwhile I have had to accommodate each lift. I would have to accommodate a whole different type of lift. More digging, more cement, more labor, more time. I paid for my Lift just after Christmas, it is the middle going on the end of February and I still do not have a functioning lift! Is that industry standard as well? Thankfully I have thoroughly documented this entire experience it has been recorded on video, emails, phone calls that were all recorded on my recorded company line, undeniable proof of exactly what I said in my first review because I am not fabricating any of this as you already know. Sending me a second broken lift does not equal standing behind your product. Standing behind your product means giving me an operational lift! That lift has been on my property literally not doing anything since the few times I tested it one of which with you on FaceTime, it has not serve any purpose whatsoever other than taking up parking space in my parking lot, my garage is occupied by a lift that is 1500 pounds of scrap metal at this point. Is that standing behind your product when you found out that I had another lift that was not functioning and saw it with your own eyes, then receiving an offer from a customer to make the transaction fair by sharing shipping costs, and paying the difference between that and a different type of lift so this problem wouldn’t happen a third time ? I think I have been more than reasonable here, and thankfully I had the wherewithal to record, save emails, and thoroughly document every step of this process from the first transaction, credit card statements, emails, phone calls, FaceTime video that was recorded, everything that I’ve said has been 1000% true, and my RU-vid video will show all of that.
@@stratusautoequip just remember all the times I repeatedly offered to find an amicable resolution for us both. When you see a lawsuit for loss of wages for all these months they have gone by modifying my space for these lifts that do not work, and all the main hours that went into it when you could have just taking your Lyft back and giving me my money? Doesn’t really make sense to me, but have it your way. If you saw my tax return, I don’t think you’d be so quick to have a loss of wages coming out of your pocket. Make the smart decision here take your inferior, falsely advised lift and give me my money. I’m going to wait until the end of next week for a resolution after that my attorney will be submitic paperwork for a full loss of wages suit as well as recuperating all funds that I put into this as well as all the time I have put into this and all of my guys. All of it was for nothing! I tried to reason with you, and your responses were nothing short of incompetence and negligence. Gross negligence! I could have been killed when my truck fell off of the first lift, But I didn’t even make a big deal out of that, but you are making me make it a big deal now! One week from tomorrow.
