Hey mate I've just put up a new roller door. I didn't realise till after install it needs to be tensioned. I can't even lift the door up. I've seen video saying not to tension with door down. Now is it possible to get a bit of tension while doors down so I can lift it up. Or is this too dangerous. Cheers mate

Hi I have a problem l with steel line ST50EVOB1, that is i have to hold remote botton for 3 or 4 seconds to open the door is there any way to reprogram it to work with one short press like others Thanks
I don’t have much experience on the locks as I don’t use B&D products and have only ever seen 1-2 in operation. I think they are a bit unnecessary to be honest, sectional doors are pretty secure already
Just like a bought one. Sweet. For a problem where the door stops and reverses, could it also be a problem with the brake mechanism within the motor assembly?
While the door tracks are lined up where taken off - what accounts for the wear on the roller on one side- misalignment somewhere y/n.? Did the guides get checked for vertical and the door for Level? Just asking perhaps the door wasnt correctly aligned in the first instance, perhaps?
Short answer is the tracks are just a guide for the door unlike a sectional door where the rollers sit in a groove, that means a roller door actually floats around slightly which also accounts for any slight building movement and prolongs service intervals, the door always seems to favour one side more than the other as it also floats on the shaft via the springs which can have upto 6 inches of stretch if required. This is completely normal.
Hey mate, just recently hoped into this trade of work and I’m trying to be a sponge and absorb all types of knowledge and I just want to say your vids are clear, educational and fairly simple to understand. Well done.
Great video, thank you! I've engaged the manual override with the battery still connected and the controller on. It makes a heck of a lot of beeps about a drive fault. Am I doing any damage to the electric motor if it tried to operate with manual override engaged?
Hey, depends what chain 😆. Chains are usually from the motor and would either need the tensioning nut tightened from the door end or it could be a worn bushing on the motor causing chain to slacken
my Gliderol Garage Door failed today. It won't open or close. I tried resetting the limit, but the chain is not moving at all. I can see the shaft is turning but the chain is not moving, if moved, it will only move a tiny bit only then it stops. What do think is the problem here? Thanks.
I think between the shaft and the chain rail is a sleeve which is probably plastic being Gliderol and has probably stripped. From memory I think I have repaired one and I just use some epoxy on both sides of the sleeve and reassembled it and never had any issues.. it’s just four screws on top of the motor and the rail comes off. You’ll see.
I have actually and it simply states that energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be converted from one form to another. So technically, energy transferred from my bicep and tricep into tensioning the springs will be forever stored in the door to assist with its operation until such time it is accidentally released again as rotational kinetic energy and heat in a matter of seconds. 💪🏻 Thanks for watching
Did it go though the whole procedure ? Sometimes it will get stuck on a certain percentage and this can be looked up as an error code. Most likely something to do with the motors or wiring configuration/ fault
Quite a simple process and great video! When I take my finger off the red button the light turns off immediately and doesn’t stay in programming mode. Any ideas?
You spoke about limits thanks but How do we set the pressure or strength of shutting , not sure if I’m using the right words mate , my door stops and goes back up . I have tried spraying garage ease into channel and channels are not damaged . The door channel maybe a tinny bit wide so the door flexes as it comes down and loses it’s momentum to come down Tq
[40] This Roller door motor has a sneaky hidden adjustment - don’t call the service number ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sBsN39AM2kI.html
My door curtain isn't lining up correctly when rolled up. Looks to be bulging one way. What's the solution there? Great content by the way, keep up the great work - thanks mate 👍
Cheers 😁 Easiest solution until I can make a a video is to remove the tracks, pull the door out a bit past closed and see if you can roll it up straight without the tracks. You’ll then see if the door has been installed too far over to one side or not or if it was the track placement causing the issue which in that case you can move the tracks over a bit to suit.
Hey mate living the videos, quick question if my roller door motor goes up a little bit then stops does that mean the motors cooked, judging by this I’d say so?
Cheers 🍻. Make sure the door lifts ok manually. Then operate motor with door disconnected to see if it passes that point. If still no luck try helping the motor a bit it could either be a heavy door or a sensitivity adjustment. Failing that yeah could be a tired motor
