Just look at the way he caressed those nubile busty creatures. This leads me to believe that he must have been a very passionate lover in real life. He has left us a few years ago, but no other actor on this earth can ever replace him. He was the real thing, one of a kind. Handsome, erudite and versatile. On the distaff side, Caroline Munro was more scary as a real vampire even before Dracula could sink his teeth into her. This upload made very interesting viewing as I am a die-hard loyal fan of Mr. Lee. I never miss his interviews and have watched them several times over.
As already said : Shirley Verrett is THE LADY MACBETH forever... here the perfection is reached "rarissime" I have this DVD of course staging is very hard to watch at but the Middle age life was like that and the exceptional cast makes the success of this masterpiece 💕🎶💕

I actually recognize that forest clip during the reprise. It was on one of my Disney sing-along tapes as a kid. The song was a rendition of “Silent Night”, and seeing it implemented here was very surreal.
Siegfried is such a boyish, backslapping, jocular, brusque, self-absorbed and annoying prick! Why Brunhilde is supposed to fall in love with and idolise such a dipstick, just because he finds her hypnotically and erotically fascinating, and he can also understand bird-song, has always been beyond me. He represents the paper-thin, crass and perpetually adolescent psyche of all too many tiresome blokes. I'm sure Wagner the ever-ready ironist was grinding a few axes of barely concealed contempt for much of masculinity. By contrast, the Magician of Bayreuth's adoration of the feminine virtues and Tomboy toughness of Brunhilde, and her laser-beam psychological penetration and honesty, is very visible. Love, andrea
