I remember these commercials played during the Soap Opera TV shows my babysitter would put on during our nap time every afternoon. I guess if I remember them so well, I must have watched the television as well instead of napping! 😅
South Africa is - always has been - a beautiful country. And that movie from the 80s is good, interesting, but on the one hand... they must have hired a lot of extras to do those pre-rehearsed shots... Or, on the other hand, there was a reality outside the newspapers. The fact is that the barriers started to give way... just as there were more jobs and economic progress back then...
I remember days of iron, clay and the start of urethane wheels…. KRYPTONICS was the best in my skateboarding time, SIMS was best board…Rode SECTOR 9 too….Skateparks lots different then, mostly deep bowls and half pipes was common. Then caught the surfing bug….PRIDE and RUSTY, had boards from 6.6 feet fish, the Smallest, 7.11 Gun from SHARPEYE to a 9 feet log!
I was 12 years old, was avid skater, luckily my good friends Dad owned a skate and surf shop. SIMS, a Semi longboard I guess for those days and Kryptonic wheels semi was best board Ive Ive ever rode, could ride the parks, cruise or downhill…
Super excellent 1967 Fundamentals for Girls Gymnastics classroom film, P.S. When I lived in beautiful, gorgeous and beloved Levittown, Long Island, New York when I was young, girls from ages from five to sixteen were allowed to do aerobics and gymnastics in school and summer camp throughout the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's decades!!
