Isn't the reversing valve logic reversed with B terminal gree uses vs O and furnace control board would get wrong signal? Doesn't it matter to be able to disable slow blower rampup for dehumidify in heat mode and also expect a W1 call for defrost while Y is still energized? On better version of that furnace el296v -> there is actually a status code for heating with heatpump (lower case h) and another for heatpump defrost. I would think would need to reverse the logic with a relay.
On superheat mode, you can only use it on split system with fixed valve. Does the same apply to charging through target superheat or subcooling? Did you enter temp manually or used the 605i? It seems they dont let you use the 115i for this mode, so you need to buy the 605i 🤡
Ive been told these are trash and Mikey Pipes had even called them out for shady practices and even worse, their reasons for their systems doing what they do upon failure. Its crazy how there wasnt a class action lawsuit against this manufacturer. Nice video tho, really like how knowledgeable you are and how thorough you are with service calls. Love to learn from people like you
Ive heard a lot of negative stuff about Navien. Haven't had any first hand experiences with them as that style of heating isn't common in my area. The Mikey Pipes channel has several videos of them. He was an authorized dealer and servicer and promoted them until he started seeing failure patterns.
@@HVACKnowItAll that a good attitude. i still do wish they still made a lot of simple single stage condensing boilers - not everyone needs a wall hung modulator.
