Any advice on laying hens? Mine start laying 3 weeks ago and 4/5 will die daily with no sign of death. Place is clean, feed is monitor, medication is on point. Etc
Sudden death in laying hens can be challenging. While it's often difficult sometimes to pinpoint the cause here are some potential factors: Diseases * Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS): Primarily affects broilers but can also occur in layers. Characterized by seemingly healthy birds dying abruptly. * Marek's Disease: A viral disease that can cause tumors in various organs, leading to sudden death. * Infectious Diseases: Some bacterial or viral infections can progress rapidly without showing obvious symptoms until it's too late. Nutritional Issues * Vitamin and Mineral Deficiencies: While unlikely to cause immediate death, chronic deficiencies can weaken the immune system and predispose birds to diseases. * Toxins: Ingestion of harmful substances can lead to rapid deterioration and death. Environmental Factors * Heat Stress: Extreme temperatures can overwhelm a bird's system, leading to organ failure. * Poor Ventilation: Inadequate air quality can contribute to various health problems, including respiratory issues. * Mold: Exposure to mold can cause respiratory problems and other health issues. Other Factors * Predation: Sometimes, predators can kill birds quickly leaving no trace. * Egg Retention and prolapse: While more common in older and younger hens, it can lead to complications and death if not addressed. I hope this helps
Waooo.... Fantastic video! I think this method will help me out instead of resulting into sun dry the bones. Very quickly.. can this method be used in making bone meal for farm plantation instead of cooking and washing?I mean will it work for planting seedlings to guarantee stronger roots? I collected some cow bones and cooked for over 8hrs but the bones were still harder like stones. There was lots of fat oil because the water dried up! After washing bones with cold water by removing unnecessary substance, I sun dry them daily and today is the third day. Can I just get ahead with this your system and will it serve my purpose in planting and not for chicken feeds? Your response will be highly appreciated! Subscribed!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for subscribing! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Regarding your question, yes, the method of burning and grinding bones into powder can be used to make bone meal for farm plantations as well. The burning process not only makes the bones easier to grind but also removes any remaining fats and oils, which might still be present after cooking and sun drying. This results in a fine powder that can be used to enrich your soil. Bone meal is rich in phosphorus, which is excellent for root development in seedlings, making it a great addition to your soil to promote stronger roots. Just ensure that the bone meal is finely ground so that it can mix well with the soil. So, you can definitely skip the cooking and sun-drying process and try out this method for your plants. I hope it works well for your farm plantation! Let me know how it goes, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions.
@@farmershub Wonderful! My stumbling on your channel was my curiosity to find out if there's any other method to apply rather than boiling for several hours with almost all available woods in my farm and again sun dry since I don't have access to oven or a hydrator machine! Thank you so much for your immediate response. I highly appreciate and I will feed you back soon. May God fortify you further and increase your business. Good morning!
