Good morning sir, Sorry to say that your assumption to increase effective depth of footing to 2 or 2 .5 time does not match to any standard or code of practice while load have already increased 1.5 time as ultimate factor. can you explain why you are advising so?

Sir, how do we design the same tank with same dimension, if it is resting on a rectangular solid platform with 2.5 ft as plinth height (stone masonry) from ground level. What are the parameters that changes in the above calculation. Cause in real life we will design a water tank with foundation and we will increase the foundation height so that it will have more head discharge. Waiting for the reply.

To kya hum outer beam footing jaha tk aaya he us height pe or internal beam plinth level pe de skte he? Kya isase cost bach jata he? Penetration krna bhi mehenga jayega Strata hard he. Kya kare ?...please rply sir🙏 Contractor bol rahe he...ground level ke uper beam do aur penetrate krte he taki ghus vgera na aaye.. lekin ye costly jayega Structural designer bolte he...ground level ke niche sirf outer wale beam or internal plinth level pe...to penetrate nahi krna padega...cost jada nahi jayega Kya kare?
