Thanks for posting this - I'm currently doing this job at the moment - Interesting how you said the engine ran rough when the valve was stuck shut when many people advocate fitting a blanking plate to shut off the EGR passage completely - Can you please explain this apparent contradiction?
If u have blanked this of u have probably realised that u are getting all sorts of problems, including management light on the dash.th Egr r is managed by the ecu that sends a signal to open and. Close it as required to help with the proper running of the engine
Could be a combination of things big ends, small ends are a start injectors are another, take it into your local garage, I am sure they could diagnose it without problem
yes replacement EGR was faulty car wouldn't start, so we got another one and it was ok make sure to program it into the car for it to work but car also has other problems as it was touched by unqualified mechanics and and the dpf soot was to high that could have damaged the dpf and it gets very hard to diagnose something that some one els has by passed or put incorrect parts on
