The dealer is saying they need approval from Mercedes to add the j51 update so my 47 gallon fuel tank can be read by the gauge. Is this true that Mercedes has to approve the update?
I took my sprinter to the dealer (I live in SoCal) and asked about them doing a J51 update and my service advisor recommended me to someone else (a non-Mercedes shop). I asked why would it be a non-Mercedes place and his answer was basically "that place has the tools needed".
it's crazy I know - MB is the only place that can do it! The first one I called agreed to do it - I think you have to kill them with information. If you're really interested I've got an official MB document that explains how / why.
@@HGPILOT2 No... The dealer is not the only place that can do it. You can add SA codes yourself on W906 Sprinters like you see in this video with Vediamo or DTS Monaco softwares, completely offline and without dealers involvement. J51 SA code can be easily added on W906 Sprinters by deactivating the Advanced Tank Algorithm in the variant coding of the instrument cluster. By deactivating that option, the fuel is read and calculated base on the position of the float in the fuel tank and not the fuel consumption.
Yes but in the early 50's under licence a company called Agusta in Italy did make some Sikorsky Helicopters. And then joined with Bell and I guess that's was the end of making Sikorsky in Italy.
@@Enzo-pw8po these days it’s hard to know the true origin of products with a globalized supply chain. Even companies themselves have dubious nationalities based on taxes and tariffs
Kinda pricy ($325 - includes admission, behind the scenes tour (for your family too, if they also paid for there own admission and are there), and a tee shirt). You don't bring anything, set up anything - just dive. Expensive, but cheaper than going to Thailand!
