Feels like coming home every time that music starts playing... This was the first place you could feel safe, as long as you didn't start trouble and paid your protection money. This is where you really started to learn about the colony and meet members of the other camps. The camp felt so organic because that's how towns would evolve from a central keep. Everything was more or less ramshacke and slapped together, but everything had a purpose and there was a sense of structure. If the colony had continued to exist, it's very likely that we would've seen a second ring start developing.
"Welcome to the colony" the brute said in a deep hoarse voice before raising a fist. A sudden knock and then silence. As consciousness returned little by little, a voice could be heard "That's enough! Leave him alone! And now scram".

What an amazing soundtrack,so calming,cosy and atmospheric..it makes me feel so so sad that it will be never rpg like this anymore.. piranha bites has closed. Rpgs of 2007-2012 are my favourites,this is so sad that such games of old school with "soul" are not produced anymore
1:41 and 3:28 I swear there is not a single other game out there which gives of more pirate vibes than Gothic 2 during these parts of the music I wish there would have been even more content around Jharkendar especially the pirates.
I am a long time Skyrim player. I have been listening to Skyrim's OST and RU-vid playlists a lot. I have just started playing The Witcher 3, thanks to the PS5 remaster, which makes it a perfect excuse for me to finally pick it up. I'm already hooked, and here's me listening to the game's OST whilst working. I see all your comment, and the attachement you have to the game, which reminds me of the same ones I read on the Skyrim's playlists. Both communities share the same bond, and I'm glad to now be part of both.
Honestly in my eyes this is one if not THE single best rpg game ever. Like games like The Witcher 3 or Baldurs Gate 3 do not feel as immersive and sick as Gothic in my opinion. I don‘t know like there just is something about this game that made me feel so like bound to it and so into the game. Even the soundtrack alone is so like fitting for the game, it’s insane how well put together it is. I mean this game came out when i was born and my dad showed it to me and i STILL play through it for the 100th till this day as well as Gothic 2. I have to admit that the german version is a lot better than the english version because of original dialogue and it‘s difficult to translate german jokes. But nonetheless this still remains the best rpg game ever and i doubt there will ever be another game that can top Gothic.
why do plp feel they need to conform and stop doing what they enjoy? its okay to escape this reality its actually healthy. especially when you live in a fucked up insane asylum reality like the one we are stuck in
Was it just me or did anyone else dislike the game after the first 3 chapters due to no more side quests? I also didnt like that ancient orc temple at the end one bit, i mean it is ok to do it once but i have done it two more times over the years and it it is just pain.
@CraftofAmbience kann man deine videos als Hintergrund Audio für andere sachen benutzen? Ich finde deine ambience Zusammenstellungen extrem geil, und ich wollte das vielleicht als Hintergrund in tutorials oder nem podcast verwenden. Wäre das ok?
Ich persönlich hab nix dagegen :) Aber keine Ahnung wie THQ Nordic da so drauf ist. Also speziell was jetzt nutzung in Podcasts abseits von RU-vid angeht. Hier auf der Platform hab ich zumindest noch nicht mitbekommen das jemand gestriked wird für die verwendung des soundtracks. Keine Ahnung wie das anderswo aussieht.
