Try putting Cecil in the back row with a bow. The arrows do extra damage to the bats. Also, put Cid up front so that he can do full damage with his hammer.

I had all at lv 70+ by now and even then NONE of the Sylph Cave enemies (random battles) are worth fighting both WITH and WITHOUT Kain in the party.

I had all at lv 99 by NOW Cyan/Umaro still SUCK though.

I still had all 12 party members at lvs over 50 WITH EVERY current spell learnt by now.

I STILL had all lv 65 + Gogo/Umaro ONLY lv 99 and even then Umaro/Cyan still suck.

I STILL had ALL at LVS OVER 50 here.

I Still had all at lv 50+ by now.

I still had lv 50+ party members those Fossil Dragons require Ribbons/4x NULL Zombie users if you can't kill them in 1 hit.

I STILL HAD ALL at lv 50 here while KEEPING the 4x exp ap gil cheats on Pixel version PS4 PS5 Switch ONLY.

At this point I still fought Ultros the first time AT LVS OVER 40 ONLY Locke's lv won't be increased by doing that.
