Join us (Marcie and Gary) on our overlanding journey in our 2020 Jeep Gladiator! We are based in the great state of Alabama and love traveling all over the country. This will be the first time we have tried overlanding and wanted to bring everyone along for our successes and failures. Guaranteed to be full of fun, surprises, challenges as well as tips and tricks along the way! Whether you are new to overlanding or are a seasoned veteran there will be something for everyone.
Thank you Thank you Thank you! it actually works. I feel so empowered now, I fixed something! LOL. Great simple easy to follow video. Back to my old Jeep wave, not the hand-over my forehead salute...!
$300 for a windshield? On what planet? I just had mine replaced on an ionic five and it was $1700. Maybe on an old car it doesn’t have any sensors or anything to it. Yeah but not on. A modern car
@@wambam1741 This was a price I saw when I did a quick lookup. My gladiator doesn't have any sensors or anything built into the windshield...just glass.
Awesome video and the Georgia Traverse is a great ride. I didn’t notice any footage of the Cohutta Big Frog Wilderness Loop which is part of the Traverse, so if you guys didn’t do that part go check it out, it’s a nice ride with some great camping in the middle of nowhere.
I'd avoid that 1st socket set you mention, the 40pc. Pittsburgh. Unless they have updated it, it has a MASSIVE flaw. The wrench is a 3/8", but all the sockets except one are 1/4". While it does come with an adapter, it is notoriously weak and breaks very easily....go check the reviews. You'd think they would just include a 1/4" wrench or change all the sockets to 3/8".
Poorly made fuse holder. Bad connection to fuse pins and as soon as there is resistance in that connection it heats up. Heating up causes more resistance. Classic thermal runaway result.
@surgicalmotorsports Yeah I upgraded my microphones and don't have issues with it cutting out anymore. Thank you for watching and I hope you check out some of our other videos!
@@garrettjackson6403 ah ok good pickup then! Check out some of the other items they have as well and use our discount code. I'll be doing a video of the mount soon.
Don't waste your time or money. If you live in a hot area these will not stick to the freedom panels. I spent $200 on these and I'm going to have to find an alternative way to make them stick.
@@YungChief Same here I want to make these work really badly because I think the idea and design is great. I haven't heard of anyone having the same issue with the factory ones.
Great Video!! Im not sold on it. The issue i see is as you lift they need to roll to stay under the item being lifted. I could see that being an issue in soft dirt. Ill stick with the dangerous HiLift jack. Stock jack when I can for off-road. The floor jack is for the garage.
Was just about to say this. To claim that to be a “maneuverability” test was laughable. With that lock you can tilt and literally pivot the jack on a dime.
Shit no that’s the best jack I can ask for I use it on everything. I have used it in mud sand snow rocks uneven ground. All around it’s about a year old and I beat the tar out of it. The handle is a breaker bar and it’s holding up awesome.
@@DixieOverland I just purchased one also, waiting for it to arrive. It's videos like yours that convinced me to order this brand. Thanks again for taking the time to produce and edit.
That’s the perfect description of Helen, GA. That’s about it too. Don’t go in the off season though it is pretty during December with all the lights. I stumbled across this video as I’ve been researching the GA Traverse and hope that my wife and I can make the trip one day soon in my 2004 Ram 1500. It’s fairly stock so I know there will be some struggles but it’ll add to the fun. Thanks for a good guidance video as we plan to go AL to SC like y’all did. Just subscribed to keep up with your next adventures.
That's awesome! Thank you for watching and for subscribing! I'm glad we were able to help out. I hope your trip.goes well. Let me know what your experience was.
@@DixieOverland you’re welcome! I’ve been wanting to try overlanding but with 3 kids under 3, camping will be a little more difficult. 😅 that’s why my wife and I plan to do this alone soon. I’ll update and maybe try to make my own video when we get to go.
@@DixieOverland that would be great. I hope we can too. I have Hot Springs coming up this weekend and then Jeepin the Coast after that and then the rest of this year is whatever comes up.
