Paul Ayers not everything in this world is American , the fastest stuff of all is European Veyron /Audi /Lamborghini etc and modern engines have been running overhead cams since the 60's , but alas not American,still pushrods crap
Paul Ayers I was throw off by the engine choice as well. But BBC is heavy too. I am not sure the size here but looks small. As for the other comment. Well last i checked the FASTEST INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE IS A HEMI HEAD V8 RUNNING ON NITRO.
The Aussie Ford 4.0 straight six made at Ford's Melbourne Engine Plant is a brilliant engine and it's extremely under-rated. When you add a turbo, the 4.0L engine's power output is just enormous for a six cylinder engine. I'm lucky enough to own a FPV (Ford Performance Vehicle) F6 310 FG, but it did cost me an extra $1000 with just one speeding fine alone.

@Alex462047 Ford HQ will not let Ford Aus export as it competes with its own Ford US made products. Basically trying to save US jobs at the expense of Australian jobs.
